Shriven
Right, I got a second hand Tactical Tailor triple pistol mag pouch... the rear most mag pouch is nice and tight, but the front two cells are a bit loose Is there any way I can tighten up the kydex inserts? msx361
Put something behind the plastic? I used a little bit of folded paper and slipped behind the keydex insert on one of my pantac FB pouches. Worked fine
-Angel-
Hair drier and C-Clamps / Vice? Warm the kydex to make it a bit more pliable and carefully clamp them.
Shriven
Will a hair drier warm them adequately?
TheFull9
Did the job to a Blackhawk SERPA I tried it with once, so I'd imagine so.

Reincarnation...
Will a hair drier will warm them adequately? Depends on your hairdryer's highest temperature setting and the thickness of the kydex you are working with. It will work, just takes longer than compared to a proper heat gun. I use a little pen sized butane torch with a "heat gun" attachment for any kydex modification.
Wayneard3413
I molded my FB pouches to accept Glock mags with a simple hair dryer... About 5 minutes of heating and shaping and they were good to go.
Tinkerton
AFAIK, shriv, kydex is thermoset, not thermosoft. I wouldn't recommend heating up/reforming it more than once. DONT USE TOO HIGH A HEAT, or you'll bugger it up. failing that, some of the soft 'loop' type velcro on the inside?
Adiventure
Now what exactly is the heat recommended for remolding Kydex? I've heard people suggest heatguns, hair driers, ovens, just about anything, but with no real mention on temperature or time.

Leave it in for about 3 minutes, take it out and re-form it. Remember, you can always re-heat and re-set it.
