Banshee_Will
Ehobby's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150783982913497&set=a.252572788496.137996.166485503496&type=1&theater They have taken a picture of what appears to be a beta projects (you can see there label) "drop in kit" for the existing Magpul PTS. I'm curious as to what magazines it will use. Other than the picture there is no other information, let the wild speculation begin! EDIT: Added photobucket link upload, incase the picture is removed or those people not on facebook or with slow internet.
ManMarin3
WA compatible i believe, further reinforced by the square and flat looking nozzle
hitmanNo2
Yep, it's for the WA platform. So you have a wide selection of mags to choose from.
Theoutlier
you sure about this? that trigger box and the bolt kinda reminds me of WE OB SCAR..
intinerious
you sure about this? that trigger box and the bolt kinda reminds me of WE OB SCAR.. I highly doubt it'll be WE given that most of the Hong Kong brands tend towards WA's system for the GBB (G&P, Beta's own magazines, etc.). Would defeat the purpose of their own designs if they went with WE Also, see that mp7 magazine on the table? It looks like that WIP Angry Gun KSC MP7 mag
adadqgg
you sure about this? that trigger box and the bolt kinda reminds me of WE OB SCAR.. That would mean this will have to be made by RA-tech using replacement parts for WE...lol. Considering the original AEG is above $400...this is definitely not going to be a low budget WE internal type of thing. -------------------------- I thought it was announced that it would be WA-compatible? hitmanNo2
It is unquestionably for the WA system guys. Check out the videos at Shot Show this year where is was confirmed, again to be for WA.

Chevieblazer
Nozzle looks WA. All previous mentionings stated WA. Don't see why it would be WE, especially since Magpul has mostly ignored WE so far... This is good news. I guess if Ehobby has a sample, the release can't be too far off

intinerious
That's...not expensive at all! But that hammer looks it's not made of good quality metal... That's to milk ACR GBB users for upgrade kit moneys If the trigger fails I'm pretty sure RATECH will develop a steel kit for it; given that there's probably a huge demand for the GBB ACR. EDIT: Okay wtf actually the kit is DAMN expensive >__> aznriptide859 do you have like a fort full of gold that we don't know about? At USD$235 for the kit alone is already the same price as most G&P AEGs....and then you have to take into account of the ACR AEG itself O_o
hwagan
.and then you have to take into account of the ACR AEG itself O_o And the mags if you ain't got them... Damnit, just sell the gun! I really want one, but I refuse to pay money for an AEG. It is against all my beliefs.

It is against all my beliefs. Ah yes, and the pricy mags for the WA system Honestly I'm a bit sceptical as to whether this is gonna be released as a full GBB product given that it's outsourced to Beta Project already and is not a Magpul PTS labelled product. hitmanhigger
Anyone notice that this is already on sale at Ehobby for like US234 ?? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/beta-project-by-pts-masada-gbb-conversion-kit-dark-earth.html

At USD$235 for the kit alone is already the same price as most G&P AEGs....and then you have to take into account of the ACR AEG itself O_o Sorry I meant the kit alone is OK priced for ACR owners...maybe not so much for non-ACR owners like myself. intinerious
Sorry I meant the kit alone is OK priced for ACR owners...maybe not so much for non-ACR owners like myself. Well I suppose...."technically" the price of the conversion kit is the same as getting a new GBBR if you've got the ACR already.... But the ACR + GBB conversion it totals USD 685 without taking into account of mags, batteries, gas, etc. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magpul-pts-masada-akm-aeg-dark-earth.html http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/beta-project-by-pts-masada-gbb-conversion-kit-dark-earth.html So if we split the cost in half (USD 342.5) you'll have two "guns" for that amount of money...but it's still very expensive IMO (considering you can get a G&P LMT for that amount of money). Then you have the inherent issues with the ACR's trigger and parts itself and if the GBB conversion's design + material is weak you'll need to spend upgrade parts for those too....the cost might be near USD4xx-500 split between the AEG and GBBR. Honestly from my perspective that's pretty damn expensive but I guess if you're adamant about using the ACR then that's the only way to go
akiraspeedstar
Do they sell the upper receiver and stock separately? I would love to have a GBB Masada but in no way would be willing to pay a good $700+ to build one ($400 gun + $235 Kit + $40 Mag + Shipping Charges)
hitmanNo2
I would say there was a high chance of retailers making up complete GBBRs sets without the AEG parts.

kagami
Sorry I meant the kit alone is OK priced for ACR owners...maybe not so much for non-ACR owners like myself. On real ACRs the trigger group is wholely interchangeable with AR groups save for the trigger spring that interfaces with the selector lever. If this is true then you should be able to use WA M4 groups, which would make a lot more sense seeing as how BP would have that much less to do in the R&D dept.
