JamesKACF
Hi all, I'm trying to get myself an Echo1 redstar OCW but Echo1 stuff seems to be rarer than rocking horse *suitcase* here in England. Does anyone know of anywhere that stocks it? as the only two shops I've found are out of stock and I'm not too hopeful pf them restocking anytime soon. Alternatively... any good samaritans in the states feel like helping me out? Cheers James
Stuey
That's because Echo1 are a US based importer/rebrander. What you need to do is work out what gun it is and who actually makes it, then try searching the UK stores for it.
DrAlexanderTobacco
In this case though, I think the problem is Echo1 have specifically commissioned the design of the AEG, much like their XCR. It's not like Umarex or Cybergun rebranding a KWA or Cyma gun that's already in production and sold under the original OEM brand as well. It's going to be super hard to find it outside of the US. hwagan
It's an Echo1 rebrand of a JG AK dude http://airsoft.tiger111hk.com/p21958/Jing-Gong-Metal-AK-Tactical-AEG-(Style-A,-Black)/product_info.html This thing to be precise. Plenty of HK sites have it, but no luck in the UK thus far.
JamesKACF
oh... Isn't JG stuff more useless than a chocolate kettle? But the reviews on the echo1 are good o_0
hitmanNo2
That Echo1 IS JG. They're just an importer and re-brander, checker for lemons e.t.c.
hwagan
oh... Isn't JG stuff more useless than a chocolate kettle? But the reviews on the echo1 are good o_0 Nah, some of JG's very first clones were pretty bad, but these days they're fantastic value for money. Might not be a bad idea to send it off to a decent tech for a quick service and re-shim/re-lube, might need a new hop rubber but they're generally pretty decent nowadays. Echo1 literally buy them, put some markings on them, change the box and chuck 30% extra on the price for the privilege.
JamesKACF
Ahhh fair enough. I will troll the interwebs and try to find what JG are calling it. Thanks for the help guys
hitmanNo2
It's pretty much just called a JG AK tactical like in the Tiger link.
DrAlexanderTobacco
Oh nice Didn't realise that!
BigAl
Buy it rhought Echo1 and you should have a decent gun, buy from JG and you might get a lemon.

JamesKACF
Yeah it's that one, which isn't in stock, neither is the one from militaryinsurplus. And the guy selling one on zeroin never got back to me
Pdubyuh
ah sorry dude I didn't pay that much attention, I just knew they specialise in Echo1 guns
NeoVeNoM
Buy it rhought Echo1 and you should have a decent gun, buy from JG and you might get a lemon. Well they take out the DOA's, but still, it does not justify the price tag. Unless you absolutely want it for the markings on the gun.
BigAl
As there too cheap to engrave those markings they can soon disapear.

The XCR is made by VFC
DrAlexanderTobacco
The XCR is made by VFC It is, but what I meant by that is that if you want one, you can only get one under Echo1's branding. I don't think VFC sell the model as a different rifle, like the JG AK Tactical Hwagan posted above.
NeoVeNoM
yes, yes they do. WGC has them under VFC x Socom Gear.
