SilentScope
KSC has a 05 Heavyweight model out now. The finish on the slide looks much better in this picture. I wonder if KSC has finally made the slides more glossy like the real thing.
Shao14
Old news, isn't?
SilentScope
It would be old news if it were the ABS version. This just came out.
Shao14
I see. I wonder if they improved the blowback action.
Magsz
What version is this?
SilentScope
It must have all of the improvements the ABS 05 had so I guess it has improved blowback. Tthough the slide is probaby a little heavier which could mean it has some internal differences from the ABS version.
Shao14
From what I heard, the ABS 05 version has better blowback action than the earlier KSC Mk23s, but still nowhere near the latest Marui GBBs or even the KSC USPc.
BakaBox
Why doesn't a Socom have the same blowback as the USPc, when they are produced by same same company? Nearly identical too, exept for size.
DarkLite
Cos that would make sense. So this is the 4th manifestation of the KSC mk23. Wonder if it works now.
SilentScope
The USPc is a completely different gun, thats why it has more blowback. Doesnt mater who makes it. Though the 05 Mk23 and the USPc have the same large-diameter cylinders, the one in the USPc is used to make a much smaller slide go back. see what I mean?
snowman
The SIZE is what makes the difference. I notice WGC are selling the 05 blowback unit on its own for fitting to ANY KSC Mk23, so I guess all we're seeing here is a batch of heavyweight Mk23s with this unit. Cheers. unimatrix001
Tthough the slide is probaby a little heavier which could mean it has some internal differences from the ABS version. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The "little" difference in weight is 205 grams according to a dealer ABS Version 995g, HW Version 1200g
snowman
On the previous model the slide and frame are BOTH heavier on the HW model, not JUST the slide. Cheers.

SilentScope
The "little" difference in weight is 205 grams according to a dealer <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well not all the weight is in the slide right? Or do you think KSC uses the same material for their lower farme in both versions?
flipsnip
have any UK dealers got this yet? i was looking at buying one a few months back but then heard that this was on the cards so held off.
SilentScope
Ive seen it at a few of the Japanese retailers which should indicate that it will be available overseas very soon.
Blitzkrieg Boddhisattva
I've had mine for about a week now. Ordered it from GNG. It sure is hefty. About 100 g heavier than the real deal, as far as I can make it out from specs found on the net. Blowback is nice and crisp on green. Well - at first it wasn't. It took me a while to get proper cycling. Initially the gun wouldn't cock or load properly; serious anti-climax... After stripping, cleaning, and lubing there was still no improvement. What to do? I returned the Mk to it's box and turned my attention to the silver Tanaka S&W M500 it arrived with. Mmm - Tanaka... Hours later, the 500 had finally outplayed it's momentum. In hope of a miracle, I gassed up the Mk once again. It suddenly worked. Ha ha! Since then the pistol has worked like a charm, and I'm not techy enough to want to investigate further into the malfunction. I'm planning to get a Wolf LAM for it. And maybe a silencer. Yeah - I'll go for a full set. Nicest thing about this USP? The live de-cocking. It sure is neat. PS: the slides haven't got any glossier. Hope this can help form a first impression. airsoftfreak14
Get a Socom silencer ^^
SilentScope
Awesome Blitzkrieg Boddhisattva. I doubt that the airsoft replica is more heavy than the real thing. I would take any info about the real pistols weight etc off google with a grain of salt. I have also found that KSC guns need some time to get used to green gas, in general. Too bad about the slides too. I'm still holding out for Zeke to make one because they seem to have the glossy finish down on their USPC slide.
