imthiskid900
sorry if anyone has asked this. but does any one know why my gun keeps getting hung up.
cllwayzata2011
Can you give a little more detail? What do you mean by "hung up". What does the gun sound like? Is it shooting? Have you ever opened/upgraded the gearbox before?
imthiskid900
Can you give a little more detail? What do you mean by "hung up". What does the gun sound like? Is it shooting? Have you ever opened/upgraded the gearbox before? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no i haven't opened up my gear box. and the gun wont shoot. it will make a grinding sounds. but as soon as i take the motor out nd put it back in. it wont make the grinding sound nd it will fire again
cllwayzata2011
It's no serious problem. You just had your motor base plate adjusted inproperly. There should be a little grub screw on the bottom of the pistol grip, play around with it a little until it sounds better and shoots.
thenobodies66
i was wondering for metal bushings. would a set of guarder steel bushings fit(they are from airsoftgi) becasue im confused with the 7mm thing and all this hoo-ha.
infected
You need 6mm bushings for the UTG.
thenobodies66
ok thanks. and also i noticed me and you have the same problem with it onyl firing full. i would really like to fix this and i remember u saying something about a selecotr plate. i am going to be almost fully uprgading my gearbox soon and am wondering what i need to make it shoot semi. infected
You'll find threads all over the palace about this. Check the function of your selector plate, cutt off lever, and switch.
blackmanincanada
Hey I have a UTG MP5, and i lost that position spring. Its the think that pops out when you take off the stocks. I did this because I was too happy when I got the gun to read the instructions well enough. Do you guys know where I can get a new one? --- Thanks, Joe John
infected
You can contact Leapers at office@leapers.com You could just make another one out of some thin stiff metal. The guys at leapers are really good about getting back to thier mail within 1 business day. I had to order a new front end for my mp5 after Spoonman shot the front sight clean off! The whole front end (cocking tube, and sight) was only 10 bucks or so shipped!
imthiskid900
i have a question i was planning on upgrading my gun and i was think do i need all of the listed below http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=145 piston head http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=621 piston http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=546 shims http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=170 bushing http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...products_id=393 spring guide and will the higer fps give the gun a father range if u can help me out that would be great
infected
Honestly the only thing in your list there that will increase the fps would be the piston head if the o-ring on your piston is garbage (as a lot of the utg's are). The fps increase might be pretty good, but I dont' think you'll see dramatic increase in range. If you want a longer range then put in a longer barrel and make a silencer fit it to cover it. At least put a tightbore stock length barrel. That would do the most for range. I had one with a all the upgrades you list plus an M100 and didn't see too much of a range increase. thenobodies66
i think just buy a tightbore and your pretty much good.
infected
Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to put in a new hop up bucking.
imthiskid900
yeah srry about my other post i didn't make my self clear and i forgot to list the m100 spring. now do i need every thing on this list to be able to use the m100 spring or could i take some shortcuts and as infected said befor about the hop up bunking is that the part where the bbs feed into the gun from the clip http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=145 piston head http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=621 piston http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=546 shims http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=170 bushing http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...products_id=393 spring guide http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...products_id=120 spring
infected
Well what are you going for? Range or FPS? Both? For FPS, you're on the right track, but FPS does not equal Range. I did all the upgrades you're looking to do and got a marginal difference in my range. I would suggest if range is your biggest concern, then you upgrade the hop up and put in a tightbore barrel. imthiskid900
i think right now i am just gonna go for the fps nd work on the range later but do i really need to do all of those upgrades to make the gun work or can i juss get the m100 spring bushings nd shims
infected
you'll wear out the nylon bushings if you dont' replace them. I'd replace them with the Classic Army ones.... they're pretty inexpensive. I'd really suggest a replacement spring guide too. The piston and piston head arent needed, just port the stock one and put on a new o ring (see earlier in this thread on how to).
frontplayer15
If i were to buy a G&P tactical flashlight mount would i still be able to fit my stock battery in it? And what kind of mags do you suggest for under $30. I really dont want low caps. Im looking at the star 95 round mags but do you know where i can just get one or two. I guess i could just go with a high cap if i needed to, then what do you suggest there? I found a place where they sell the 500 round utg mags are they anygood. Did they fix the problems that the old 240 round mags had. Thanks for the help FRONTPLAYER15
thenobodies66
nah man dont get utg mags. if u want midcaps get g&p ones they go for about 15-25 an hold about 100. if you can find them MAG mags but i think they are only in boxes. and ya the taclight grip will allow u to use LARGER batteries. and your stock one of course. i think your best bet is to get a little more money and find a place with a cheap set of MAGs cuz the box of 8 ive seen for like 40 i believe. Treyster
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...products_id=542 thats a link to G&P Mp5 mid caps. 100 rounds. no winding. full metal. and a two pack for forty dolla. dont know how much that is in the uk haha
infected
spend a little more (because of shipping) and get the MAG Midcaps (90 rounds I think) from WGC or EhobbyAsia as you get a box of 8 of them. Oh, and I think AirsoftAtlanta has a tactical lighted forgrip that will accommodate the stock battery. The regular lighted foregrips won't.
frontplayer15
Would i be able to fit the battery in this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...85551&rd=1&rd=1 and is that a pretty good deal?
infected
Honestly it looks like a leftover UTG rail and hi-cap (both garbage). I do not think that you can fit a regular batt in that handguard. I think you'd need a nunchuck style one. http://airsoftatlanta.com/custom.htm Scoll down half way and you'll see the forgrip you need. If you check this post: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...20entry490220 You'll see how to fit it in the handguard with a different (regular size) forgrip with taclight.
