MP7 Magazine dilema

Recommended Posts

With the announcement of TM's newest AEP's, people will be looking for what pouchs to put the magazines in. I myself am looking into buying one, but I want (need) pouchs for the magazines. I think there too big for pistol and MP5 pouchs (Not height wise, but by thickness, and lateral length) But not big enough to necessitate the need for M4 sized pouchs, so what is there to use? Anyone have any ideas?

Eh, any generic SMG pouch should work I'd think. The MP7 uses 4.6x30mm rounds, with that in mind I doubt the mags are much larger than SOCOM or other double-stack .45 mags, and hicapa mags fit in my BHI SMG dropleg... Though since the 4.6 rounds are roughly the size of P90 rounds, it's possible the mags will be too thick.

There's no way to say for sure without seeing one next to something of a known size, or having actual measurements.

Also keep in mind there are long and short mags available for the real one.

Isn't this a little premature anyway?

German made gun needs German made accessories ;)

COP offers a lot of nice MP7 accessories like tactical leg and shoulder-holsters, sling and of course: mag pouches for 20 or 40 round magazines :)

um... just a thought, but, the mags may be like the TM AEP mags.

Well, there's quite a bit of room in the MP7 shell. If MArui were being clever then they could probably get the battery and action into the upper receiver.

I doubt they'll do that though. They'll just modify the action used in the G18 and M93R to minimise R&D costs. Instead we WILL end up with an MP7 which uses stick mags.

In fact, what's the betting that the MAEG action is even slanted at the same angle inside the MP7 grip? :D

Oh god, don't say depressing things like that, especially when you're probably right. :(

I'm already bummed enough after remembering a TM MP7 will likely be ABS rather than nice glass fiber/polymer composite like CA36s or the G&G UMG.

This one?

That's the Zeiss Z-Point, the official combat sight for the MP7A1. It's very nice sight, very high-tech with a lot of nice features like automatic brightness adjustment.

That sight was only seen on the "PDW"-Prototype, I think it's also just a prototype and not available as production model.

Looks like a Optima Doctor sight or something like that, note that this is also mounted on the PDW-Prototype.
