ColSanders
I'm almost afraid of what the battery position's going to be
nightfire6
Well, it either the foregrip or inside the reciever.
Xeno-Morpheus
Shouldn't be any probs fitting a minitype battery in the foregrip. I doubt they'd go for fitting an AK-type battery inside the reciever, even though this might be possible.
The End
I like, but knowing star, this will cost me an arm and leg...any price predictions?
Death By Cadbury
I was watching videos on youtube and this gun seems to have a similar 3 round burst feature to the new type 89. Ā could star be ripping off TM design THAT fast?

Jagdraben
Or perhaps Star already developed it before Marui? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ā Or, more likely, concurrently/parallel with Marui.
Xeno-Morpheus
I'm guessing 16"-barrel @ US$450 and 18"-barrel @ US$
Xeno-Morpheus
Releasedate anyone?
Splinter
Releasedate anyone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well guys just got mine 2 weeks ago from a local retailer here in the Philippines and only two units was brought-in by STAR company for promotional purposes. However the store owner decided to sell both and fortunately I got one of them. My intial finding so far is that a 9.6v 1700Mah (chako-type) batt would fit in the frontgrip & its has a plastic gearbox just like from other Star's aegs (L85 & 249). FPS seems about between 350-380. Anyway, I'll keep u guys posted on some pics and details once we open here up.

Habakure
Didn't they say it would be a metal gear box originally?
Xeno-Morpheus
If it was a promotional one and had a plastic gearbox, the market one might still have a metalgearbox. One could hope atleast... Ā More info, pics etc please!
Splinter
The unit cost me around US$375.00 and the retailer told me that Star will launch it officially by the end of October or early November of this year. Well the unit I got came with just a plain brown box without any markings, instruction manuals or even cleaning rods. However it does have nice packaging that surely holds the gun safely inside the box. From my initial inspection is that the mag really wobbles when inserted and the cocking handle is a bit flimsy. But the 3round burst is surely heaven!! By the way, the Star FNC i got was the shorty version.
nightfire6
$375.00. Now that is a low price for a Star Gun.

It's an easy way to cut $100 off the normal Star price tag. THANK GOD!
