Megalomaniac
Apparently KJW released its first foray into gas Bolt Action sniper rifles yesterday in Taiwan. Got the info from NEASG, I wonder how long before a US retailer gets it.
Crazy_Harry
interesting... wonder if they have any plans for gas shotguns...
Sledge
Hmm, wonder if they'll undercut the competition to the same margins their pistols do?
oikoik
wow! this can only be good for airsoft! lots of competition! now make something original! :D hehe edit: is this the m700 take down version?! awesome! like, totally rad dude! whoa!
BakaBox
Now they should start making cheap gas assault rifles...
Antagon
Must have....now...
PlasticMag
Wait, this is the same company whose FMV M9 has horrible gas usage and whose new 1911 totally sucked monkey scrotum? And then we commend them for copying Tanaka? WHAT? I think the Mk1 Carbine was the only original release they've had in a looooooong time...
Antagon
Mk1 isn't original. The FMV M9 is excellent. The new 1911, well..can't comment. If you don't like it don't buy it! more for me!
Punkman oi
WTF does NTD stand for?
Crazy_Harry
take that back oik! an airsoft company making something that hasn't been churned out by at least one other company?! Blasphemy!
oikoik
spank me now!!! for kjw tho, the fmv para ord is very nice. [i have one] and as Antagon said, the fmv m9 is good too. [my mate has one] if they continue in this reliability and quality trend then all bodes well. [yeah ive read the 1911 review and am concerned, so i am watching kjw with interest..]
Arnie
WTF does NTD stand for? Normally New Taiwanese Dollars - it's the local currency in Taiwan.
DarkLite
Lol. I can't wait to get a new M700 "rifel"!
Megalomaniac
This could make me do bad things with money if its the take down version.
Antagon
This could make me do bad things with money if its the take down version. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, you wait for the AEG version!
Megalomaniac
No, you wait for the AEG version! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> An AEG sniper rifle that is crazy talk although... I'm only against gas full-auto because of cool down and you know the ones that don't have cool down have an external rig and the cord going from the external rig is just something else to get snagged on branch when I run like a scared kitten to cover. Longhairedhippy
I'll stick with the Tanaka, thanks.
Megalomaniac
The tanaka one is too exspensive and this KJW will proabbly be able to take all the parts that the tanaka can take so you can start with a cheaper baseline rifle and use more money on upgrades or kit.
Antagon
What really makes the gun is it's magazine and internal assembly. Replace them with cheap Tanaka parts, and you have a Tanaka rifle.
Longhairedhippy
the m700 really doesn't need that many upgrades and isn't really expensive for a basically ready-to-go sniper rifle. Honestly, I'm not too fond of KJW products, so I'm willing to pay the extra cash for Tanaka gear.
Antagon
Then it's settled, I'll get the KJ and stick a Tanaka mag in there, glad we came to an agreement. lol
Megalomaniac
As word of warning for anyone in the UK, wait for a review on this from what I've heard on NEASG it produces power way over the UK limit. Since I dun wanna get the thread locked I'll post the reported number in Binary, 1001000100. Convert and gasp at your leisure.
Scizz
uh, and how would someone go about converting binary
Megalomaniac
meh, you can't convert Bin to Dec? Here I'll give you a few examples: 101001 = 41 101 = 5 1 = 1 10 =
Tripod
It's simple, yuo go like this: 1001000100 Now the very right digit (a 0) is the ones place, then going left is the 2's, 4's, 8's, 16's, 32's, 64s, 128s, 256s, and 512s. If there's a one there, count it. iF there's a 0, then don't count it. Let's give you a fictisious number: 01011011 In decimal this number would be odd, since the lright most digit is 1. From there you add 2, then 8, then 16, and 64. The number is 61. Now after I have waisted your time with boring talk, all you have to do is open the windows calculator, go to scientific mode, and then select binary mode (bin). Enter in the number, then select another mode (either oct, hex, or dec). In this case, choose dec. I played around with a Tanaka M700 before. It's extremely accurate and I found it consistent enough. I was able to shoot small targets with it, even though i was unfamiliar with the rifle. I doubt KJW's would be as great as quality, but I dont think it's right to knock them even before the gun is out.
