Gundrosen
This is very temting, and if it's just half as nice as the VFC MK43 it'll be worth the money! This will definately be my next gun.
HKG36
Hey donnie Il'' trade your HK417 stock for the VFC HK416 stock.
Sarge133
How hard is it to rewire a rifle to the back? I kind of don't want to use a PEQ just to make this thing work.
Sniper Sam
I am planning on buying this but it says it requires a PEQ box and that it needs to use the GRS 9.6V 1700mAh for AN/PEQ 2 battery. About how long will 1700 mAh last? Ive never used a battery under 2000 before so I have no clue if I should buy one or two batteries. Sorry for being such a noob to PEQ boxes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Two words: crane stock. A PEQ kills the hot factor of the HK 416 quite a bit, a crane stock keeps the same style and look while being functional. My only concern for the gun is that the grip and stock seem to be a little too shiny, the rest: body, handguard, sights etc. all look perfect. I'm getting a crane stock so the stock doesn't bother me, I might pickup a Zenith Battle grip as well to match the rest . Can anyone tell me what aimpoint mount is in the upper right picture? HKG36
ForgOt about a crane stock will go with G&P for 100.00 on WGC as it includes a battery, as the HurricanE cost a good bit since you don't get a battery and there are pictures of US forces that are testing the HK416's using crane stocks. Edit the mount on the picture appears to be a Larue Tactical HK416 mount designed specifically for the HK416 to co-witness with HK416 sights.
Sniper Sam
Ah forget about a crane stock will go with G&P for 100.00 on WGC as it includes a battery as the HurricanE is a lot since you don't get a battery and there are pictures of US forces that are testing the HK416's using crane stocks. Edit the mount on the picture appears to be a Larue Tactical HK416 mount designed specifically for the HK416 to co-witness with HK416 sights. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for info, I'll be getting that ASAP. Are you saying it's got special dementions so it won't work properly (co-witness) with other guns? Your first paragraph didn't make much sense.
HKG36
It'll work with other guns, its just HK got Larue Tactical to design the mount specifically for the HK416,if you look at the picture closely your see that it says Larue Tactical (space) HK416.
no1rc3ur
wait... for US edition.. it doesn't have the HK trades? what does that mean?
donnie
It means you got no trades AND an orange tip. I feel for you.
HKG36
It means we get the crappy VFC 416 trades, hope WGC doesn't temove the HK trademarks.
no1rc3ur
hmm..but if i order from WGC, does it matter?
HKG36
It shouldn't as the VFC 416 version is only for US retailers. Edit:Here's a HK416 with a Crane stock, sorry its a HurricanE but its the same as VFC.
Sarge133
I hope that WGC doesnt send us the VFC trades version. *prays*
Agent47
wtf, it comes with a 300 rnd hicap...ah well I'll wait for the locap version...
44MAGNUM
Realistic Looking Magazine ( 300Rds, winding by wrench ) How does that work?
Sarge133
Instead of a little gear thing on the bottom there is a very small hole in the side of the mag and you insert the wrench and just turn it to wind the mag. It is ALOT easier than the gear.
HKG36
You use a little allen wrench that you stick into the hole on the side and twist it to wind it.
Sniper Sam
Same as the Airsoft Elite M4 high cap (except the AE can be wound both ways):
Verymanynames
I think that both a PEQ and a crane stock kill the look, Im gonna have to go battery sling on this one. Is there a specific HK417 stock sold seperetly or are you guys just going to use normal crane stocks. Typically how long does it take WGC to get pre-order items in stock? Sarge133
You can buy the 417 stock from UNcompany, but I am getting the G&P crane stock just for the availabilty, contruction, ruggedness, and because I think it looks good.

Azulsky
Yeah ill wait to see if any of you guys get the real trades in the US, and if its any good. Besides the fact that i still cant agree whether this fits in the SA80 category or the pure hk category, buying this will negate my g3 pimpin project.
Cali
You use a little allen wrench that you stick into the hole on the side and twist it to wind it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So, do you wind it once like a P90 hi-cap, or periodically like other hi-caps? I'm guessing periodically, which will be a b*tch in the field. People will be losing those winding wrenches left & right, trying to fit it into the tiny hole under fire or moving, etc.
Sarge133
With 300 rounds chances are that you'll be able to fire them all in a single wind.
