SlvrDragon50
Ive been looking for amotor to finish my gun up (guarder standard gears). Ive decided to either get a TM EG1000, G&P M140, Systema Torue (one of the kinds), or some other kind if you suggest it. My friend said to get a Turbo TM EG1000 but I dont know where to get it. +1 are waiting
Carbine
The EG1000 is probably the best all around motor, but I'd still go with the Systema since spares are very easy to come by. WGC sells all of the motor parts separately, so if something breaks, they have a replacement.
SlvrDragon50
Well, I dont even know how to repair the motor.. BTW.. is torque or hi speed better for a guarder sp120
Carbine
Torque-up is better. Though unless your old motor is in really bad shape, you won't notice a big difference with the new motor.
hsimoorb
You should know that the high-torque motors has only a very small amount of torque over the high speed, yet it spins considerably slower than the high-speed. IMO though the eg1000 is still the superior motor.

Anyway, with the new MAGNUM motor being released by systema, you'll get all the power you could every want lol.
WizardofAirsoft
Get the new systema turbo if u want high speed, 30rps with a 9.6v.Watch your gears though...its brutal.Or go for the magnum, looks brilliant. The systemas are considerably better than the eg1000 spec wise... Blake
If you don't know how to repair or prep/break-in a motor, the EG1000 would be the best choice. It's drop-in ready, cheap and offers decent performance. If you want a high-end pre-tuned motor, Echigoya and Eagle Force make good ones. But expect to pay a premium price for the additional torque. The big problem with the Systema motors is they are not ready to run, you need to prep them and break them in to get peak performance and running life. Hopefully Systema has done all the prep work with the Magnum and Turbo motors so players can just drop them in and go.
snowman1990
ICS turbo 3000 are good, better than eg1000
1cem4n
i'm going to get the new Magnum motor for my gun but I really want to try the the Turbo version. I'd spring for the new Magnum motors.
juicymeat
Go for the EG1000 and be done with it, reliable, cheap, common, strong, and works for a long time, think of it as the AK of motors (atleast I do).
WizardofAirsoft
you need to prep them and break them in to get peak performance and running life. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is it essential to do this?
Five-sEvEn
I haven't done that for my hi-speed motor... At least I can't remember doing it... I remember breaking in something... In any case, I air broke-in my motor if i did, and even then, it works fine, and my current setup is pretty damn good IMO. Seems to beat other similar setups. So no, it's not essential to run, but maybe it helps?
WizardofAirsoft
How would one do this?
Five-sEvEn
One way is to run it under PURE water at like 4.8v for a couple of minutes. http://www.rccartips.com/rc-electric-motor-tuning-guide.htm People say air-breaking-in is good enough though. With just shimmed gears in the gearbox, people just attach the gearbox to the motor, and run it like that for a while at around 4.8v or so for a couple of minutes...
