farrasdevell
Haven't seen this posted here but there is a new site opening in central London this week. It is in White chapel a couple of stops from Liverpool street station. I'm looking forward to shooting their opening night on wednesday and will update as and when. People have been belly aching about the cost but £30 for a 4 hour (game time not including safety briefing) CQB shoot IN the middle of London in a non paintball arena is pretty awesome. Apparently there is bar onsite for post game drinkies and they will be running during the week for a post commute pew pew. Main site for booking nd maps is http://www.airborne-airsoft.co.uk/blitz-cqb-london.php Plenty of picture of the build on airbourne airsofts Fb page here https://www.facebook.com/groups/958767544176092/?fref=ts
Skarclaw
Looks interesting, will have to give it a go!
bladerunner168
I'm up for this, about time there was a site in central(ish) London. Re price, on their website, weekday evening games are from 18.00 - 22.30, 6.5 hours for £30 is not bad at all.
Architect
Am also giving it a go on the opening night tomorrow. Price does seem a bit high but always looking to try new sites - this has potential!
DrAlexanderTobacco
£30 is around the price of a pint in central London nowadays anyway, isn't it?
coolurjets
The airborne airsoft guys run awesome milsim days ast longmoor, perfect balance of tighter rules but still not too dserious. I imagine that mindset will transfer nicely to their own site.
farrasdevell
Was a really good shoot, just arrived home. Sure the arena is on the small side and could get repetitive but if it keeps evolving and the games are kept fresh it is a thoroughly entertaining venue.
bladerunner168
What happened to the marketing blurb about it being the size of a football pitch?
hitmanNo2
Table football pitch in the small print ha.
farrasdevell
In total it is about a half a football pitch 50mx35m I'd guess. It shoots well and is all about the angles, and getting your corners clear fast. they are only on game#2 and have things to figure out and probably some changes to go through. Somebody put their first video from wednesday up: https://www.youtube.com/embed/WV2Efu5S_rQ For a fun evening shoot to work out pent up pew pew it is great, fast and social. There are plans to expand apparently but the current footprint needs to make money first. The only thing i'd like to see added is ammo limits to cut the chance of camping and semi-spamming down butt hey were very minimal only in last man standing games.
faramon
I'll go some time, I don't get to go anywhere that much these days, so some where nice and central would be good.
Cannonfodder80
Apologies for the necropost. Any updates on this? I'm thinking of heading down there on the 15th
farrasdevell
Site is still going. Haven't been for a few weeks due to saving money and being on tour. Pre-booking is essential as the programmed times can change and cancellations due to low numbers are intermittent. Odd bits of video are popping up here and there. not much else to add I'm afraid. blobface
I went there yesterday, was fully booked, quite bizarre as your safe zone is literally next to an arcade, laser tag, a handball court with kids in there with Zorbs.. The site runner mentioned that it's meant to be a pop up site, the building already has planning on it to be demolished and redeveloped, but it won't be until fair bit into next year, so those who live close by we should enjoy it before it moves for good.
