The sniper rifle looks pretty classy but I hope people aren't disappointed by inaccuracy because of poor quality control.

The MP5 seems to have a lot of problems despite, theoretically, being identical to the Marui gun.

If it is coming out of the same factory as other UTG products I am sure the quality control will be fine. One thing I still cant confirm is that it will shoot 400fps. Our early version sample was doing a steady 310-315fps.

As far as UTG Mp5's go we have seen very little return rate. The most common problem is the 1st gen Selector Switch which is easy enough for us to send a replacment 2nd gen. You guys here on the forums really only here about the problems but we can see how much we have sold and how little we repair.

Erm....

Have you looked through these forums at all recently?

There must be 50 or more threads regarding faults with UTG MP5s.

And several times it's been said that since 20 billion sold in the first millisecond it's gonna happen but it helps everyone fix them as well.

I only want the Sniper as I already have the shotgun. A springer MP5 is well... useless for me keke.

After that it's all waiting for the AK... =( maybe next year dang that stinks!

wow only $80 tops for that mp5 thats so good for the US, are they EXACTLY the same as the TM version a5? where the battery goes in the foregrip? hop-up same place etc?

50 out of the hundreds or thousands they have sold, I'd say the defective rate is pretty small. :) Haven't had any trouble with mine except it's not as accurate or powerful as the ICS, and one of the two mags gives me misfeed (maybe I can ask Leapers to give me a replacement on that. ), and had to change the selector switch. :P I'd say it's still worth the money.

Hopefully, I can take it out for some field test this weekend. :)

Can't wait to see how that sniper works. :)

Eh?

That doesn't compute.

The UTG gun has been out roughly a month and there are a LOT of faults with it.

The must be hundreds of times more marui guns out there which are not going wrong every month. If they were then the forums would be deluged with the problems. Every month.

Don't misunderstand me though. I DO think the UTG guns are a great idea and I commend them for their efforts to create a niche in the market. The problem, however, is that a combination of cheap price and a sales pitch which says the gun is a replica of the Marui MP5 gives people a false impression of what they're getting.

If you're happy to play with the gun and, maybe, replace one or two parts AND have the knowledge, tools and ability to carry this work out then go for it.

If I was UTG I'd consider selling the guns in kit-form instead.

That way there's be no need for a warranty, they could knock a few dollars more off the price AND it'd make noob kids think twice about buying them.

You'd also probably shift nearly as many of them since there's probably be a living for people like me just buying the kits, building them properly and then selling them on.

Half of the problems with the UTG guns are probably really simple to fix but a noob just doesn't have the experience to do it so the gun gets a poor rep.

Their is 1 problem that I have seen several time which is the selector switch. I have heard of 2 people with somethng that sounds like a jammed gear box. Otherwise all apears to be small odd problems. Keep in mind that we alone have sold over 1,000 of these AEG's since there release. Put that number together with all the other retailers andcalculate the percentage of problems it is smaller than the problem rate of CA products. You cant expect them to sell 100/1 on a Classic Army product and have the same amount of problems. It's all about percentages.

Wow, mature <_<

I still want one of the UTG MP5 AEG's - but they're being imported via america, so the price is higher... we need a UK distributor that gets this stuff straight from UTG so it's cheaper...

The Sniper looks awesome, though :D

UTG is a trademark owned by Leapers, which is an American company. Can anybody tell me where this Chinese connection come from?
