  1. You might be on to something with the weak sear spring. As for the mechanism for select fire, it has a disconnector that's tripped by the bolt.
  2. The track for the spring is on the slide so keep the slide upside down and tilted a bit forward while reinstalling the BBU while making sure the nozzle is held back.
  3. Best to contact them about it. It might be listed as a whole sub assembly or under a different name. If they don't have it I'm sure they can sort you out since they have a direct line with WE.
  4. I'd check the nozzle for cracks and the piston cup for tears. 2nd is to check proper function of valve knocker and knocker lock.
  5. Did cutting the recoil spring bring rof down? Been bugging me a bit realizing it's shooting as fast as an M1921 and was thinking of making a weaker spring with thinner gauge wire.
  6. When it purges the mag does the slide travel rearward at all?
  7. Sounds like your floating valve is getting stuck
  8. Currently thinking up a 40mm version
  9. So, are we gonna talk about the new WE instant rice?

I heard that supposedly the CEO wants to expand into other areas of products but doesn't want to have to make up another company hence WE all the things.

Sigh. If they only expanded to Russian small arms we can bury him in rubles just the same.

I'd settle for more Russian replicas at least, like my eternal desire for a Stechkin

  10. Was happening to me but has pretty much disappeared after doing all the mentioned work so not really sure what was causing it. What I do know is I can make the gun do a burst if I try to pull the trigger too fast or too light and it sort of bump fires. If I make clean pulls with follow through it never happens.
  11. Not so much as polish but my crown was visibly off center and I had to remove about 2mm of barrel just to redo it (they do a deep crown). Not something common I'm told but it's happened on 3 of my WEs now so might as well take a look. My slide stop shaft broke in half like HamletV but I think those are cases of lemons like the few reported nozzle breakages.
  12. 25k rounds is a LOT. Even regular players won't get that much out of their GBBRs in a year much less a pistol in half the time. If I were you I'd just replace it with original parts but if you continue to use it the way you do then steel might actually be the cost-saving option. For the plated DE, looks like they've discontinued the older painted version as it's not in KY's list anymore. https://www.kyairsoft.com/guns/we-pistols-gbbp/we-desert-eagle-50-cal-series.html
  13. I recall mine was drilled through, just that the very end of the hole was kinda obstructed with flash or dirt making it appear like a blind pin.
  14. 1) The coupling valve (gun end) isn't seating well (probably from being mashed). Take the valve out and lightly ream the hole it sits in to give it more wiggle room. 2) The coupling valve (mag end) and its o-ring has very tight tolerances sitting in its brass sub assembly and if it shrinks just a little you get that persistent hiss. What I've found to be a surefire solution is building up the diameter of the recess for the o-ring with super glue. I put enough glue so that the lower meniscus (while still wet) is around 1/3 the depth of the pocket. I apply the glue while it's vertical in th
  15. Front sight is metal as is the 3 lug muzzle. You can either get the muzzle painted or have an orange plastic pdw flash hider put on. The charging handle itself is zinc alloy but AFAIK the shaft running through it which comes into contact with the charging handle tube is steel.
  16. As many people hate on the WE brand, you have to give them credit in releasing the widest range of unique products (not including double barrel versions) with the latest release having the record as smallest GBB pistol: the CT25. Known as the Colt Junior in real steel, it was originally a licensed copy of the Astra Cub from Spain in the 1950s. It came in .22LR and .25ACP, both holding 6+1 rounds with later produced mags holding 7+1. WE's replica can hold 7+1, comes in black or silver, with or without a threaded barrel and devoid of any markings aside from their logo on the grips. KY Airso
  17. As some of you already surmise, I sold my dignity and purchased something from Cybergun. As the only Tommy GBBR I felt my wallet cornered though to be fair this is not my first CG purchase as I also got the WE/CG Desert Eagle last year so you could say I didn't have any self respect in the first place. So with that, on to the review. The gun is a truly open bolt submachine gun with select fire capability doing about 330fps (30C) at around 850rpm. When out of bbs the bolt locks to the rear until a loaded magazine is inserted and the charging handle pulled back. It is full metal with the ma
  18. Does the crazy jet barrel (84mm?) line up flush with the outer?
  19. I've observed wobble on pretty much every rifle I've handled with some being only a few months old. Sometimes though the kind of handguard installed can either help hide or make the wobble more pronounced but you can still observe it easily enough looking down the sights while pushing on the handguard/barrel side to side.
  20. Have to take my rear sight block off among other things, but it looks like this only with the forward hole/screw done (in M4 size). There's a lot of material on the trunnion so doubt the hole makes any difference.
