  1. I have a dog, and am saving up for a Hermit Frog and a Treecrab.
  2. Please? Agreed, the search function ain't perfect and needs some work. Patience please, I'm sure it's on Arnie's To Do list.
  3. We'll never know, as we've no idea where it was deleted from.
  4. I knew you were gonna say that. Ah, so not only do we have to take the time to tidy up after people, you also want us to engage them in a discussion about it afterwards? I'll go with "No" on that one. We're giving our time for free to help out around here, and there's only so much free time we each have. We log in, work through a pile of pm's; deal with any issues they throw at us; check for any new flaming/bitching/abuse/spam/duplicate posts/petty squabbles about which vest the guy in the photo's wearing etc; deal with them; have a tidy around where neccesary; check our e-mails f
  5. No idea who that was aimed at, or what for. Therefore, I get nothing from it either. There's a site errors/suggestions forum for any issues you have like this, and it would help if you told us which thread you'd posted in. Thread moved accordingly. Personally, I often delete posts without comment. If I think it's worth a note to the poster, I'll pm them - otherwise (if I'm tidying around, as I do) and it's either minor spam, off-topic or irrelevant I just delete it.
  6. The ratings system came as a default setting with the upgrade (along with comments, friends etc). They may or may not stick around for long anyway (once Arnie gets around to tweaking things a bit more).
  7. Then wait longer. Patience! Arnie has a lot to do running this site (and having a real life too), so he'll get round to it when he does and not before.
  8. I would just like to state that no money, goods or services have been harmed in the making of this thread
  9. I'm glad this came up now, I quite like the new avatar.
  10. ...and there's certainly no resentment about non-UK members not having to put up with the VCRA, hardly their fault is it?
  11. Can you give me some examples? Could be they're being closed by new moderators appointed since the VCRA, as there's certainly no organised effort to stamp on +328fps discussion any more than before - in fact, we're discussing dropping it. You will probably have noticed that there are more mods around - and thank crikey too, it was getting lonely at times. Personally, I can't recall locking one with other questions in it (though I apologise if I have), nor can I recall ever asking people to edit their thread rather than closing it (guilty as charged, I'm a bit of a locker me). Sorry,
  12. Yeah, lots of <span> stuff seemed to have crept in. All nonsense to me, but it looks tidier without it, eh? I'll ask Arnie about it later.
  13. CA high speed motor G&G anti-reversal latch (trust me, this seems to help - runs a lot smoother with this fitted) Lubrication Decent 9.6V battery Nothing else I've done to it will have affected the ROF I don't think.
  14. Just a tip for anyone fixing their boxmag: When you open her up, do NOT drop the spool containing the coiled spring. I had to open mine up as the spring end wasn't being gripped, preventing feeding. This was becauase the spring end had snapped the retaining piece of plastic. Fortunately there's another slot you can use, but removing dropping that spool caused the spring to shoot across the room (and it's no fun coiling the thing back in, I can tell you).
  15. We're not in the military here, we're airsofters. We call our guns "guns", so it's a gun. If it was realsteel and we were in the Army, then that might be different. It isn't, we're not, so it's a gun. Now drop and give me 50 Good news is I've managed to get mine working at legal limits again, and the BB's fly out like a white laser beam. Nice.
  16. ...and then a new item comes out that's perhaps better, and everyone changes their minds.
  17. Best e-mailing Arnie rather than R22 now, as he's not around much these days. Alternatively, PM me the details and I'll pass them on for you.
  18. Oh, and if you DO upgrade to a fast motor, reseal the cylinder head and replace the o-ring, only to find your gun doing a naughty fps, don't (I repeat) don't just bung in a TM spring and piston combo. I did for the hell of it (well, she was open anyway) and the gun went into Ludicrous Speed, bordering on Plaid*, then made a nice whizzy noise as the teeth on the piston disappeared. Most amusing but slightly silly, though in my defense I was going to remove the spring from the piston anyway. *Spaceballs reference for those who don't get it
  19. Well, I'd rather take mine into a game than a plastic bag.
  20. I checked mine today, and the stock wiring is 18swg (1.219mm diameter). 16swg is recommended for AEGs (1.626mm). I know I can get this from Maplin and heatshrink it, but if anyone can recommend anywhere else please sing out. EDIT: http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/leads_connectors.html 75p a meter, thanks greebo_Brat Bah! Out of stock of black. UPDATE: I fitted a stock TM spring and piston today to see how it performed. I'll try and get a sound sample some time, but it sounds nearer 40rps. Slightly insane, and probably not gonna feed properly.
  21. Hi, welcome to the forum! It takes a short motor, as discussed previously in this thread. I know it takes a while, but have a look through the whole thread to see if we've already posted information you need.
