  1. I agree with RSP, great looking pistol but a change of grips would really finish it off. I really like the grips Romulus has on his Delta, they would look great.
  2. You're correct in saying that it is a shell catcher but its not for a full auto version (despite what the size of the magazine suggests) WW1 pilots routinely carried rifles and pistols with them to shoot at other planes as they passed! The shell catcher was used to stop spent casing flying into the pilot's face and to try and reduce the possibility of the spent cases becoming stuck in and blocking the cockpit controls. The extended magazines were developed for both rifles and pistols used by the pilots. I have also read about rumors of the pilots carrying bits of brick in their cockpit
  3. A quick quiz for the 1911 experts out there! Who knows what this is for? Answers on a postcard to the usual address I bet someone gets it straight away!
  4. raito and Guinness, your pictures are fantastic! Well done guys
  5. If you can afford the extra cash for the PGC then you should definitely go for it. Guarder is good for the money but doesnt really compare to the PGC. I suppose it depends what you are doing with the pistol as well. If you will just be skirmishing then the Guarder might be the best bet but if it is a collection pistol then it is PGC all the way!
  6. He has kindly added it to the Review Database

    Kimbers

They look good mate. It is nice to see a Kimber with a normal, plain pair of wooden grips for a change.

Where did you get the grips SJF? I like the look of them on the Kimber.
  22. I see it now (I am using my home computer) Looking forward to Parts V & VI
  23. I would love to know how you achieved the 'battered' look on the 1911 grips! Please tell I will buy you a pint of The Black Stuff for your trouble If you have a chance sometime could you re-post the pic of the 'weathered' 1911 grips attached to the WA? It is not showing on my work computer. Thanks
  24. I am starting to get used to the new skin now, I was a bit unsure at first though. It is definitely much easier on the eye the many other forums, Airsoft Forum, Airsoft Retreat etc. Many of the other forums I really dont enjoy reading purely because the colours used in their skins makes them quite difficult to read, especially if you have been reading them for a while. They make me go all google eyed
