Incidentally I plan at some point to buy a CYMA AKS74U, take it apart and throw the body and grips into a tumble drier with a lot of steel wool to get that "Beaten the *fruitcage* up" look.

GRIM, Make sure you order the CYMA MP5-low mount. It's the ONLY MP5/G3 lowmount that I've found so far that can take an EOTECH. Plus, it's cheap and has a really solid attachment method.

From that pic of the bolt it seems this uses an AEG spring and spring guide - so I imagine it should be upgradable. Question is, though, what about the barrel? Does it take an AEG style barrel and hop-up?

It's pretty tight groupings up until 20m or so, then it suddenly spreads pretty quickly. And Sirrith, yes, it's legal in HK cos each bb is individually carrying (slightly) less than 2J KE. I'm still working on the video review for my M500. Problem is, cameramen are so unreliable - I've had to cancel 4 filming days already.

It's solid as hell, but only fits on full stock bodies and requires modification. Essentially, cut off the rear stock tangs and file it till it fits.

Thus is the beauty of the clone - they make awesome project guns.
