  1. Cheers, it might not be accurate but it's the best info I have on the size so far. My current M4 is standard length so I cant quite measure what CQB should be with great accuracy. Seems no one has a solid length for them. For example Raven 6.01 barrel for the WE Scar & AK-74UN is 256mm. Angry gun 6.03 has the barrel for the same guns as 270mm. RA-tech is slightly different again, saying Scar length is 250mm and M4 CQBR length is 275mm. *sigh* So, now I have a rough guide the question is: Raven or Angry Gun?
  2. Anyone know the length of the CQBR inner barrel?
  3. Anyone find the front of their feed lips are marred by the hop unit quite considerably? Seems that all my mags need a 'break in' from this to fit properly.
  4. Cant remember my own having major issues. Bolt lock rarely worked but that is an easy fix nowadays. The nozzle got stuck a few times but this was my fault due to lack of lube. Also, if my new M4 is anything to go by they should of made some improvements to it over time. Redwolf recently listed a new version of the PDW. Presumably with the Gen 3 internals pre-installed. Tempted to get one again for a backup.
  5. Have you found anything to alleviate this? Lubing seems to have no affect and Im not far off finding somewhere to file the hammer.
  6. Noticed this on the front page: http://www.airsoftbuddy.com/index_topic.php?did=10&didpath=/10 New gen style M4 mags. AT BLOODY LAST!
  7. I wouldent say its CQB only. I used mine in woodland reguarly without issue. The lack of accuracy at range does make you run more and look for ways to get closer to your target which I found a lot of fun. I regret selling mine and I am looking to buy a new one soon.
  8. Others use silicone gasket to seal their mags. Not tried this yet. Seriously considering swapping over to the 20rd vn mags as the 30rd ones are a pain in the *albatross*.
  9. Yea, apparently the part is only 3.15 (they didnt say what currency though) without shipping but wont be able to get it for a month or two. CWI could order it in for $53 (inc. shipping) but no idea if they could get it faster. Its a good gun, just let down by poor WE materials. Have sold mine on.
  10. Again, mine is the same. Nothing to worry about.
  11. Alternatively use a ball end Allen wrench and do it through the ejection port. (lock the bolt back and have the charging handle back.)
  12. Stick allen key in grub screw adjuster. Turn right for hop. Left for no hop. Easy.
  13. Fun factor has always been there. The Open bolt series is fairly reliable though. Trigger pack will eventually go but there are plenty of upgrades/spares about. 30rd m4 mags are still a pain in the *albatross* but the shorty mags are solid.
  14. Unless they replace the lot with steel internals, I doubt they will. Shot off an email to WE anyway, will see if I can get a new box from them. Will stick to whatever has their M4 trigger box instead from now on, easy to fix and easy to get spares.
  15. Sooo, the WE AK is broken again.

I have a feeling I am going to see this kind of status every once in a (short)while until RA tech release every internal parts for it in CNCed steel.

And over 9000 rubles later you might get something long-lasting.

  16. It broke again! Gun jammed, wondered what stopped it. Found this: Took me a while to find where it was from but its part of the trigger box. It helps hold the hammer down and keep the firing pin in. Gun still fires but Im not comfortable with the possibility of the firing pin or hammer removing themselves. Should be interesting to get a replacement trigger box. :-/
  17. Any owners find there is excessive resistance at this point in action of the slide: The slide can be REALLY hard to pull at that point, which is effecting gas efficiency. At the moment even with a warm mag it cannot empty a full load of BB's. I have found at my last skirmish it can also cause the pistol not to feed. Anyone have this also and know which part is causing the resistance?
  18. If I remember rightly, the parts need bedding in. Try dumping a few mags full auto then go back to semi.
  19. Not alot to go on here, going to be a slow WIP to what I want. Started life as a bog standard Socomgear N4 (WE M4). PTS MOE Handguard and stock. ASAP Magpul (not PTS) FG grip (thought the mag shells were FG turns out they are OD, wanted them to match. Whoops). Magpul P-mag shell + ranger plate.
  20. Took my new (to me) WE M4 out for a skirmish today. Bloody loved it.

No, didnt stay stock for long. Whipped a MOE stock and handguard on it for now. Rail system will come another time.

  21. More interested to know how it skirmishes.

  23. I have now joined the WE M4 guild. (yay!) Well technically. Got a Socom gear Novenske 'N4' which has been converted to OB. Already converted 2 mags to p-mags. Anyway, can anyone bullet point the /recommended/ mods and fixes? I know to shim the bolt catch (although the p-mags activate it well) and the previous owner already has a 'magic pin' at the front. Internals will mostly remain stock until something breaks/wears out. The externals will get an over-haul however
