  1. Many thanks! Great to see that they pursue a degree of realism even where you can't immediately see it. Now I'm seriously tempted...
  2. One small question that I haven't been able to resolve from looking at pictures of it. Is there a gas block (and gas tube) down there somewhere on the barrel, underneath (and hidden by) the rail system?
  3. FYI, this is a 4.3 slide on a 5.1 frame.
  4. Yes. I buy this is bulk from electronics supply websites. Be sure to get the large 16 oz size: better bang for your buck (pun intended).
  5. The design flaw by WE was pointed out as far back as post #20 by renegadecow in http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/205810-acm-mp-dont-tell-me-we-have-beaten-tm-to-it/page__hl__m Here's a r.s. M&P22, and once again you can see how well-aligned the front of the trigger guard is to the bevel on the slide.
  6. With the real-steel M&P, when the slide is locked back, the angle of the front of the trigger guard, the bevel on the lower frame, and the bevel on the upper slide all form one continuous diagonal line. Unfortunately, and as was previously feared, it looks as if the WE doesn't line up in this way.
  7. Nothing wrong with these, to my mind. They may not be jet black, but they look just fine.

There are lots and lots of inexpensive scopes to be found here: http://www.khmountain.com/airsoft/index.php?cPath=37_53&sort=2a&page=1 Over the years I've bought a couple from them. Though if you don't kind that it doesn't look like a Leupold, I really like the UTG/Leapers scopes with adjustable parallax.
  9. Not enuf 2011s. Hi-capas rool. The family...
  10. Safariland 6377-6378. Excellent fit, good retention, nice suede lining.
  11. Interesting! What I never realized is that the grip safety on the black version is quite different from that on the two-tone, as are thumb safety, hammer, and trigger.
  12. WGC and Airsoft Global are my top two at the moment. Depth of stock, responsiveness to emails, speed of shipping, accuracy of order. DenTrinity is fine, as is TMC and Boom Arms, and UNC is OK. RW has the worst customer support imaginable and EHA..., well..., words fails me.
  13. I assume it's just going to be the standard KJ Works bright red nozzle, made of some formulation of plastic that KJ rates for use with CO2.
  14. Coincidentally, the last week I've been looking, on and off, at race gun silde kits and conversion kits. A definite temptation, though I'm not yet decided as the expense is considerable and as has been said, the applications are limited. Was thinking that if I did it, I'd ikely go for the side-mounted Aimpoint Micro style, which seems like a good compromise. Thoughts?

The Airsoft Surgeon Salient Arms slide was out of stock before most people even realized it was in stock. Yowzer.
  17. Here's a picture of the end of the 18" barrel as compared to the stock 14.5" barrel. 14.5" is left and dark grey, 18" is right and black. Visible differences, besides the color, include the longer bucking (thicker "base" at the end of the inner barrel), sharper right-angle shape on the second (lower) housing shoulder, and a longer gas piston rod. Invisible differences include a much stiffer tensioner spring inside the housing. I've described the problems I'm having with the 18" barrel assembly here: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/206522-problem-w-18-masad
  18. Just be sure you have another BBU to cannibalize, because NB doesn't give you all the parts, like that small rectangular plate on the underside of the piston and the little screw that holds it on.
