thornado
Here are some images on Armed Response Units you can check for building your loadout: Â Â Â Â Â Â I guess some are using MP5A5 and G36C and different loadouts per county. Is the guy in the second picture holding a Steyr Aug or a FN P90? I can't seem to figure out the type of bullpup weapon it is. Â What do you think?
sryanuk
Looks like an AUG to me because you can see the big trigger guard.

Sale
I'd consider an ARU kit, but I don't look British enough. Â -Sale
Little para
So , we have plenty of officers in the met that are foreign, im sure. Edited July 24, 2007 by Little para
AliceHKfan
could be a wide range of things but probably a G36CÂ Though I think CO19 do use a G3K + PSG-1 stock for sniper roles<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â alice:g36k with a psg1 stock? havin a larf?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â you're reading comprehension fails, and Leadmills post even has a picture of what I'm talking about, in fact its the first picture
Leadmill
I've been trying to mod my G3 to that spec for a while but I have no luck tracking down a PSG-1 stock, they are like hens teeth these days.
AliceHKfan
also very pricy ie 100USD/50GBP +
Leadmill
I'd happily pay £50 for one, its a matter of finding a source for one, its like they have stopped existing
AliceHKfan
I think someone was selling one earlier this month, but I think it got sold  edit: Go here!! Edited July 24, 2007 by AliceHKfan
Belladonna
i know the gun alice, ive helped leadmill plan his g3... Â and i think this topic could do with some differentiation between Arus, and CO19... different turnouts, undercover, patrol, tactical, etc... as this changes the look massively... Â main arms, and sidearms are varied per force. SART for example, are just equipping with g36cs to match south yorks police, our local force, and sidearms, well, as close as we can get to the s&ws they use... Leadmill
Thanks for the heads up Alice you rock! Bella you need to help find me a source for the shorter G3 flashider that i'll need if I get the stock. Â Also Bella I want my camera back so I can put up the photos from the 15th, or is it still somewhere in your 'floordrobe'? Â Edit: Fudge, guy says he's in the process of trading for it with a load of stuff. Ah well looks like i'll have to keep looking. AliceHKfan
a shorter G3 flash hider? clearly you mean shorter barrel
Leadmill
No, there is a shorter flashider that you can put on the end of the G3 without shortening the length of the barrel. I've seen it but can't remember for the life of me where.
AliceHKfan
personally I'd try to source a spare barrel and chop it  edit: my bad scratch that, the whole forward assembly is shorter than the full size G3, its more comparable to a HK33 Edited July 24, 2007 by AliceHKfan
Leadmill
Right after some negotiation he's agreed to sell it to me Now does anyone know where I can find a replica of the flashdot site. Its real steel version is called 'Schmidt & Bender Flashdot'.
CobaltSky
I haven't seen any S&B replicas at all. All the people who have them own the real deal so you might be stuck shelling out a lot of monies.

Kyrian_Zenda
Looks like a car door.... Â What you making it out of?
Leadmill
Making it mostly out of flexible MDF ply with probably a light metal alloy sheet cut to shape and bolted to the front. The straps will be leather or cut up viper duty belts as they have the flexibility and strength needed. Its one of the smaller tactical shields. I think that turning up to a skirmish with a full size one would a) be in practical as I don't drive be to heavy to skirmish with for more than few mins as it i'd have to keep picking it up and putting it down. Most forces seem to use Glocks, though I know Fife Police uses Sig Sauers (P228's I think), and I'm sure I saw a photo of AFO's in Liverpool with P99's. I thought all the UK forces had some 'buy European' policy re firearms....
