Lance Jackass
Is it me or do kneepads just look funny worn over combats? They kinda give the baggy legged ww2 german officer look in my opinion! SO does anyone here wear them under their combats?
Bert
if you're skinny you look really dumb with kneepads. that's why i don't wear them.
Lance Jackass
Lol yeah. It kinda reminds me of when you see people wearing gaiters....
Basho
I wear em over. Always will after kneeling on a smeg load of BB's once - OUCH!
doc_newstead
Ah, I do hope Cpt_Nemo reads this thread... They do look *hilarious* on skinny folk. Exhibit A:
Puzo
My MC pants have pockets in them to hold kneepads so it doesn't make me look like Exhibit A and its comfy because it doesn't have those straps that wrap around your leg which can get itchy at the most awkward times
DarkLite
I need to get some...last game I managed to fall on my knees. Onto gravel. OUCH!
Lance Jackass
Yeah i can see the appeal. But i'll be wearing them under lol. Exhibit A ROFL

Bert
if you have decently sized legs it's the other way around. your knees would look pregnant if you wore them under
rhino
or you'd end up looking like you have Dennis the Menace "Knobbly knees"
Bolleh
I wear them over. You can take them on and off, or adjust them alot easier that way. In my opinion its also more comfortable to wear them over your trousers aswell.
Guges Mk3
Over...they get caught under my pants, because they don't slide at all and then I trip on them...very embarrassing when this happens.
Catchv22
Under. No one in Vietnam ever wore kneepads, so it'd kind of look a bit odd.
Lance Jackass
Awsome- mil-sim Do they fit allright under trousers? Also if you "blouse" you combats over your boots do they look allright?
Catchv22
The knee pads I use don't look that odd. I blouse my trousers so they haven't looked off. That being said, my old knee pads were pretty thin and my second hand OD BDUs were large (I'm 5'4"?) so I'm sure several factors played into it. Not sure how my new knee pads hold up, but I'll try to get some pics when all my stuff comes in.
Lance Jackass
Cheers mate
Magsz
I wear them over because the bdu pants material adds a nice layer of cushioning between my skin and the pad straps.
Cpt_Nemo
I hope you know Doc i have a very rare medical condition called Patella romeabouta or "wandering knee cap" and ...er... part of the condition dictates i have to wear oversized knee pads in that fashion all the time. Else it gets very unpleasant for me and anyone around me..... (looking back at that old pic, i'm so glad i switched to flecktarn!)
Teap0t
you wear em under and eventually your fabric will tear.

Catchv22
You look pretty good in those.
Vostok
Wear 'em over, my BDU's come with a built in insert of foam to help, but I wear knee pads outside so my knees of my BDU's dont rip.
