I got my hands on a real SureFire 628 handguard recently and it's amazing! It's UK Police surplus and shows sign of use, which is understandable considering it's 30+ years old at this point. Anyway, here's a few pics:

Don't know about overseas users but I'm stateside, and I emailed Surefire about replacing the rubber on my 628's slightly worn pressure pad. They quoted me a 6 week turnaround time. Another user on the HK forums said they got their's back in 3 weeks.  It's all free... Just don't mention you've bought it the secondhand. I believe you can only do this once per person.

So, finally got this project finished. Far more work than I might have hoped for but I have learnt some things for next time(!).

My VFC MP5K with SP89 handguard and VFC MP5 with an K grip adapter.

Thanks for the tip, I will check it out :)

Love it.  Is that torch mount a repro and available or is it one of those impossible to find RS ones?

Thanks!

It's a real Surefire 660, which can be hard to find, but not impossible. They aren't the best though, but they do look the part.

I have a repro 660 which isn't bad. How is it mounted though?
