hitmanNo2
Indeed. Personal preference. My soldering iron tip is a lot more pointy too. It makes a nicer stipple job imo but a bit more time consuming. Then just give it a bit of a sand if it's too rough for you.
Dj_komodo
Here's a little video I just made. Im stippling a back strap just to show you how I do it, took me about 8 minutes. Sorry for the heavy breathing, the mic on the phone was right beside my mouth And here a little bonus video on my glock:) Just saw that I forgot to punch in the little pin that holds the trigger all the way, just installed the extended slide stop. And the RS G19 mag with the deactivated 9mm is just for shows, it fits the WE G19 perfectly... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FerZThplcP0
Wynthorpe
Great video thanks, think I'm holding on to long, but I do use the random pattern like you. A few more questions though if I may? What wattage is your iron? Mines only 30 so not sure gets hot enough. Did you bend the tip? Looks a lot comfier to hold like a pen and the tip be angled. Dj_komodo
wattage is 22W, 220V. Its a really cheap iron that I borrowed from work... You can get one for 5 quid on amazon. The tips are interchangeable and no i did not bend it
uscmCorps
You can also buy voltage adjusters that will act as an intermediary and allow you to adjust the temperature of the iron. Some plastics need lower temps than others.

NonEx
Update video: A1A SAI flat faced trigger, black seems to be back in stock at A1A store. Ordering one right nauw! http://ace1arms.com/goods.php?id=
NonEx
Got a response from A1A via email about the hex screws... not what I was hoping for; Hi Chris, Please ignore the long screws for the RMR dot sight. It's not working and just use the short one. They will fit.
Wynthorpe
Got a response from A1A via email about the hex screws... not what I was hoping for; So why include them then? Surely to save embarrassment they would of taken them out.

Wynthorpe
Now I've sanded the stippling with 600 sandpaper it feels lots better, trigger should be here by Monday, no idea how to fit that though.
jayrod
My bad 5 hours for the whole job I see that's not that bad
uscmCorps
5 hours just for stippling isn't horrible. Some of my frame jobs can take up to 20 hours. But a lot of that is resculpting and polishing the frame prior to stippling. The stippling only takes about 25% of the entire job.

Dj_komodo
Nonex, did you install the black parts or the red parts on your g23? I installed the red parts and on single fire it often double or triple fires. Any clues?
NonEx
I only installed the black part. Clue? Get a WE Glock 19 and transplant the internals to get the hell away from those select fire internals. That's my plan BTW did you watch their installation video? Apparently you had to transplant the switch from the slide of the select fire G23 into the red parts for it to fully work. Did you do that? Also, downer here, but did you think about having a GEN4 frame with a GEN3 slide is totally unrealistic It kind of bothers me about mine. But dang that GEN4 lower is too sweet to not have installed. jayrod
Did you leave the original pattern in the finger groves on purpose? You can see them trough the texturing.. Otherwise looks pretty good .
Wynthorpe
Think its time for a guarder gen 3 frame for me.
Wynthorpe
In fact scratch that, HK3P Gen 3 lower.
Dj_komodo
Pretty expensive solution to buy a new g19 Yes, I watched the hell out of that video and I installed that part as they said... Thanks jayrod, I did cut down the pattern but i did not sand it down. Wynthorpe, guarder frame doesn't work... Hk3p gen3 for the g17 is nice, gen 4 is a lot easier to sand and stipple... NonEx
If he is getting the Glock 17 version the Guarder frames work (right? ). But the HK3 frames are actually "nicer" IMO. EDIT: Well getting the G23 GEN4 for the full marking GEN4 frame was always my plan, and then to get a plain Glock 19 for a GEN3 frame to stipple. But yeah, I don't trust those full auto internals worth *suitcase*. :|

Yes its the G17, but i did remember people were saying the HK frame is nice. Ive also gone ahead and ordered the UAC tool but its CNY so not sure when will get posted. Wild_XIII
The HK3 frames are nice. Easily as nice, if not nicer than the Guarder ones! I'm so very tempted to pick up one of these kits for my HK3 Glock 17, but I really don't want to mess with my work horse too much. I guess it just gives me an excuse to buy another HK3 Glock and stick the kit on it.
