Safeword
Not a review but a overview from the "mystery" gun I bought. I saw it on CWI Airsoft and CRW Airsoft and was really curious about what this was, after a week or so my curiosity got to me and I bought it from CWI. CWI also have another similar one, this one is in black and reads Kimber LAPD SWAT CUSTOM II instead of Stainless I love the look of it and the Kimber Stainless II is one of my favorite 1911's. After I recieved it today, it came in a cardboard box without any markings or manual. It came with a note that was written by CWI saying: Product Name : WE Kimber 6mm BB Airsoft Toy Power System : Gas Blow Back System, Airsoft Toy BB Caliber : 6mm Plastic BB Date of Test : 2015/11/20 Avr. Velocity : 82,9 m/s, 10 Shots, Room temperature 28C, Green Gas I actually think it's good it is a WE gun, I already have a WE 1911 and a ton of spare parts and magazines so it was kinda bonus. It is a lot heavier than I thought, 1,1 kg. I don't know how much work is needed to make a custom like this but honestly, 160$ was well worth it for me. So you probably know enough about WE's 1911 so here is some gunporn for you. Edited December 1, 2015 by Safeword
BioRage
Either you're lens and photo skills are superb, or WE did a decent job on that Kimber.
BigAl
One of those is on my shopping list too, along with the M45A1 from Army iirc, unless I track down a WA one.

k.a
Is the frame two piece like TM Capas ? as I rembember that use to be the case with WE 1911's which were released before TM 1911's and copied Hi capa frame.
BigAl
All WE 1911's are based off there HI Cappa.
k.a
Thought as much, pretty gun, hope they've sorted the internals, bought them when they were first released in full size and commander length, both suffered abnormal internal wear and cease to function. Safeword
Well what can I say, it's your standard WE 1911 so with upgrades it should be pretty good. I have used this for a couple days now and it has a problem that's annoying as *suitcase*, when pulling the slide back, with or without the magazine in, the slide get stuck in the back position. you can remove the magazine, press the slide release but nothing happens. I have to wiggle the slide loose. I haven't had the time to see what the problem is yet, this happens about 50% of the time. It looks like you can pull the slide a millimeter past where it should lock in the slide release and it locks up. After using it for the past few days, it feels like its not happening that often, but it always happen if I pull the slide hard backwards. Will look more into this when I have the time. kesuki1027
Safeword, I had a similar problem with a Guarder 1911 MBK. Try adding a recoil buffer on the recoil guide rod.
dealda
Maybe the Hammer pushes too hard and locks the slide back.
Wingman
Could your hammer be rubbing up too hard against the bottom of your bbu?
Safeword
Thanks for the tips, it already have a recoil buffer but I could try to add another. The hammer isn't touching the BBU at all so i'm starting to run out of ideas on what this could be
daloonie
If it's not the hammer, it's most likely the barrel. Does the slide return to battery if you twist/pull/push the barrel when it's locked back in the "faulty" position? Or is the barrel completely loose? The *fruitcage* hop chamber solution WE uses with a plastic nob to keep the barrel on the hop unit, is prone to break and wear.
Safeword
Sorry for late reply, haven't gotten around to look at it until today and yes, when pushing the barrel back when it locks up releases the slide. Any way to fix this?
Safeword
Tried to switch out the hop unit and inner barrel I found in my spare parts box, no problems anymore but will this be a permanent solution? The "new" hop and barrel are also from a WE 1911, not sure this would stand the test of time..
Shaggs
I had a similar issue with my KJW hicapa. Took it all the way down to find the disconnecting lever had broken in half. Sheared right down the middle. Upon replacing that part, the pistol has cycled perfectly since. That's 13,000 rounds and counting. BigAl
Wouldn’t be surprised if the clowns at WE just plated a standard gun, in which case the tolerances on it may be a bit tight. It should sort it’s self out with use if this is the case, assuming of coarse it hasn’t fallen apart by then. lol Why the hell don’t they stop messing around with dum double Glocks n the like and sort out there older guns like the 1911. Should make em TM compatible while there at it.
Wingman
Have been running a WE 4.3 Hi-cappa barrel and guide rod in a Guarder slide on a KJW KP07 frame for over a year now, no problems. I can also put that slide group on my TM Strike Master frame without any functioning problems. Looks pretty good as well. Still hoping someone comes out with a Commander style slide group with Wilson sights.
Horsem4n
You can try aftermarket hop chambers. WE 1911s are actually decently TM compatible. I know parts of the frame aren't (causing proprietary mags) and the BBU on some of them are a little different, but you should be able to replace the chamber and outer barrel with something decent enough not to jam like that.
