SRC Maverick GBB pistol

Recommended Posts

New pistol by SRC. I guess there's a growing market for original design guns although it's easy to see that they've loosely based this off an FN 5-7. Don't know if it's a TM or Marushin clone but there's a shooting video on YT and FB if you can tell by the mag.

If they not going to give us Rusfor folks some better options, at least give me a StA-18 pistol if you going to go fantasy.

I kind of like it..Hope it holds up better than the two TM Five seveN pistols I bought and didnt last a full year shooting duster. Depending on the price, I'll probably give it a go.

Meant the functionality. Same takedown lever, slide catch, trigger, mag release, frame pins. It's like they just reskinned it which is worrisome because the two 5-7s that exist have their own set of problems.

Is the growing market for "original guns" primarily in the US where license issues limit the availability of stuff and also increases the price? Cause I've never understood who buys Airsoft original designs...

Could be it's a reaction to license/trade-dress issues. Like the bevy of RS Not-Glocks back in the day. Might spill here in Europe too, considering Umarex and Cybergun licenses, and their potential for litigation on licensees...

Sandstorm, I could buy that explanation;

or WE (we the people, not WE the metal bodied GBB pistols and rifles maker that places their products fair with the quality they offer) could buy the shares of the evil french company and use it for the good, it a slug nobody cares to stomp since long time ago...

it is less than a cent of an €

Imagine just buying the 51% and then selling the rights to a decent and more honorable company such as Umbrella...

It could, but I doubt it'd work that way. Could be the licenses are non-transferable from the licensees, or it might not be that available on the market. For us to buy, someone'd need to sell, and I seriously doubt we'd have enough savvy and clout to outmaneuver the lawyers and business sharks running Cybergun right now...
