That's been said loooooong ago, no point whining about it now.

SMG's (either AEG or GBB, but not AEP):

IMI Galil    http://world.guns.ru/assault/galil-arm-r.jpg

IMI Tavor 21    http://world.guns.ru/assault/tavor-tar.jpg

SAR-21    http://world.guns.ru/assault/sar21_2.jpg

Sniper Rifles

Those are all guns I would like to see made into airsoft, some more than others though.

I got a the M12 - 1s a springer the other takes a gas cannister...check out endoshoji.

I also got a Spectre M4...they are fantastic - I think I saw a Calico althouggh it was the M100 for sale somewhere too.

Asahi do a Sterling too but its co2.

Thats a pretty special list....but I would add that the STAR SL8 isnt so bad....

Mil-Sim is fun but I come from a general roleplay background so the idea of a genre based airsoft event fills me with glee, if nothing else but because making those costumes is a great laugh  :P

Doing a GITS Imperial Marine Corps load out or a Dejima Separatist load out would be easy.

IAMC: OD, M4A1, black webbing

Dejima Sep.: Civvie clothing, AK-74M

Of course, given the changes that we know occur between 'now' and 'then', we could always redesign the IAMC load-out to reflect the changes that have occured. Like MARPAT (perhaps urban "MARPAT"?), a CIRAS, and perhaps an HK416 (mostly because it keeps the futuristic-gun-look while staying black, something the SCAR wouldn't offer).

A GITS JGSDF load-out would probably be easy, too, since it looks like their weapons and kit are close to what's currently used by the JGSDF (adjusted for anime/manga, of course).

In terms of fantasy guns, I'd like to add my voice to those who wish for a Tau pulse rifle or carbine. Make the forward "magazine" the battery pack, and keep them as bullpups like in the game, with two motors, two barrels, and firing two BBs at the same time. Maybe give the rifle tightbore inner barrels and stronger springs and the carbine a high speed gear set (maybe make the carbine fire every other round out the other barrel). I have a feeling there would be a spike in the number of Tau Mon'ka Auxillery load-outs.

You know I can find no ruling that says all discussions have to be mil-sim or that you can't drool over impossible weapons, especially in a thread called "Dream Airsoft Guns", so I can think of no logical reason for it to be bad form to discuss the possibility of genre shooters for use in Airsoft. The Marine Pulse Rifle from Aliens is a well known kit job, we have a thread on this site about someone who made a Mobile Infantry rifle from Starship Troopers and there is a growing 'Manga Gun' scene amongst the modders so I think there is acceptable precident for talking about a WH40K AEG.

Storm Bolters would just be too big, as its been said you need to be in Space Marine Power Armour for it to not look stupid, but there is enough reference material to show that a Bolt Rifle would be the right size for use in Airsoft.

I'm also thinking a shuriken catapult would have a certain charm, as if you read the background material they work in a somewhat similar manner to AEG's anyway so would both look nice and be very close to the 'true' weapons.

Because it's an airsoft forum and because I'm being on my best behavior at the moment. I could also be flaming you, neg-ing you, etc... but instead I'll just politely ask that you please STOP TALKING ABOUT SPACE MARINES AND BOLTERS YOU *fruitcage*-ING NERD!. That is all.

I actually think about this quite often.

CA needs to diversify its self. THey need to make a QBZ-95, to appeal to patriotic Chiniese, (after all, CA is based in Hong Kog.)

To compete with TM in the AEP buisness, CA should make an AEP Desert Eagle, as it would be an easy AEP to produce, being such a big pistol.

Someone needs to amke an FN2000. Doesn't matter who, it just needs to be made. (Although, since STAR is my favorite brand, I guess they should make it, and get all that profit.) (On second thought, VFC would probably end up doing it. As recent rumor has shown, they seem to have a thing for producing high-quality some of the guns just coming into their own in the real-steel world.)

It should be released in a basic configuration, with the advanced optics and the infamous grenade launcher sold as seperate attatchment. (This again would be a smart move for VFC, as the SCAr, (which they are producing, uses the same grenade launcher.)

TM needs to make an L85, to bridge the gap between the Academy L85, and the STAR L85 series.

CA should make a TAR-21, as they are the major AEG company in Israel, at the moment.

I'd love to see someone produce a new and improved UZI AEG. Probably TM, as they are already make the shoddy old UZI AEG, and they already have done all this research into miniaturized AEGs.

STAR should produce the (X)M8 Family, as they could aesily take the internals from their G36s, and put them into new bodies. They seem to have a track record of producing modular weapons famillies. (G36, L85.)

TM should also make an XM8, just the basic version, for all the kiddies that want to be, "t3h s0lger of t3h footre!"

And finally, just this morning, I was thinking that G&P should come out with the Crye MRC, and a version of the SCAR. These are both highly tactical assault rifles, and looking at G&P's recent trends, they seem to like producing those kinds of gun.

If I can remember correctly, the MRC is being developed for the Marine Corps already, and theres no doubt that MANY marines will end up with SCARs, even though it is being developed for Army/Navy special forces units.

Yeah. Just some random thoughts...

First: There are patriotic Chinese in Hong Kong? Not that there aren't on the mainland, mind you....

Second: The SCAR was/is being developed for all units of USSOCOM. Including those of the Marine Corps (under MARSOC). In fact, MARSOC recently adopted the SCAR (putting them just behind the Navy SEALs for adopting it).

*Cough* No it doesn't.

lol.

I suppose I came off a little harsh in that statement, as my recent reputation changes reflect, so I owe a few people an appology. So to those of you that I offended: I'm sorry I damaged your little feelings, and I hope someday you can afford the procedure to have the stick removed from your *albatross*. I further appologize to your parents for having to deal with you and pretending that they're happy with all of your accomplishments, while really cry themselves to sleep knowing that in the off chance they ever have grand children, they will most likely be the ugliest little Poindexters in town.

So to all of those that deserve it: sorry.

*if my opinion offends you so much IGNORE IT! It's just the internet, people!*

disclaimer: rant not aimed at anyone in particular, especially not Jagdraben, as he has a good sense of humor. If you were offended by my last post, it was aimed at you. If not, it wasn't aimed at you, so don't worry about it.
