renegadecow
While they're not new to the Bizon game, PPS came out with the top folding version of the Bizon SMG dubbed Bizon 3 (don't know if that's the proper nomenclature). They made a usual side folder along with it just to add to the choices for that particular type, but the top folder is definitely unique. https://shop.jkarmy.com/pps-pp19-bizon-submachine-gun-aeg-airsoft.html
Gunmane
Seems I should have waited before grabbing my Bizon, thought for sure the design was done with in the airsoft world. Yes, it would be Bizon-3. Is that a front sling hook I see on it? Most of the replicas don't have one.
Gunnman
$250.90 shipped seems pretty reasonable for a full steel semi-ACM AK, especially one this unique.

Wingmann
Quite interesting, actually.
renegadecow
Interesting that it comes with a hicap, but it sounds like it was dry firing most of the time in full auto. Legacy of the ol' P90 hicap jam I presume?
mimesis
Yes, they never cut back to the chrono after he fires in full auto.
Pimpbot
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how the top folding stock would work with optics on it...
renegadecow
There are side mounts which are offset like for the PKM and GM-94 to access the top cover without having to remove the optics. Or bung a rail and an RMR up front.
Horsem4n
Is the handguard on the PPS bizons sturdy enough to handle optics? I'd imagine with the spindally battery latch it may vibrate or shift and screw with your zero.
renegadecow
I've only handled the one by CYMA and it seemed stable enough for airsoft purposes.
Gunmane
I would say the issue is the top hand guard being rather thin compared to an aks74u, as it really isn't meant to be a hand guard at all.
Pimpbot
I get that the scope mount is on the side, but the optics are still hovering over the top cover. Basically, it seems like you would have to remove the optics every time you wanted to retract the stock over the top cover.
Horsem4n
Which, for me, would only be when I stuff it in a case. But either way, I would probably just use the irons unless they had zeroing issues.
renegadecow
I get that the scope mount is on the side No, there are mounts where the rail for the optic are also offset to the left which clears the top. They're marketed for PKMs and GM-94s to access the feed tray but they are the same side mount as with AKs.
Got Wood?
Stick an STK stock on that and it would look nice
philbegas
Hi All, I do apologize for posting on a slightly older thread but I've been having so much trouble tracking down information about the PPS PP-19. Most retailers sell this with an 800rd magazine, but I cannot find those anywhere, so is that a magazine made by PPS? Either way, If I bought this gun I'd want spares but I have no idea which magazines to use. Particularly mid - caps. Can anybody shed any light? I've done extensive research and I've seen that the Silverback and its clones tend to have various problems from hop up to misaligned stock pins. The LCT I'm unsure about but I doubt it's worth paying double the PPS.
renegadecow
I have a friend with a S&T and his midcaps seemed to work well enough.
philbegas
The S&T Midcaps work in the PPS PP-19? And S&T was rebranded as CYMA right?
Habakure
Cyma rebrande S&T now? Always thought cyma did their own thing (well, as in they had their own factory etc), then again I haven't kept up with the ins and outs of the Chinese factories.
philbegas
I don't know if all S&T/CYMA are crossovers but for the PP-19 specifically it seems so. http://www.evike.com/products/41727/ Either way, still hoping somebody can confirm the magazine compatibility for the PPS PP-19 100%. I'd hate to ship a gun from HK to USA and have it be unusable
CatgutViolin
No, it is not compatible. I have a friend who sold me his S&T Bizon so he could get the PPS, and his leftover S&T magazines do not fit. The PPS Bizon is actually shorter by about an inch, and the magazines are correspondingly smaller.
philbegas
That is a serious bummer (But thank you for the information). Well that's one magazine down. Still curious about the Echo1, Silverback, or LCT magazines.
blobface
Is it shorter by an inch because the other versions were longer than RS by an inch and PPS made the effort to make it 1 to 1? Or just some mystery Airsoft free style external decisions...?
philbegas
OK so some interesting stuff: The Real steel PP-19s have the following lengths for the Bizon vs Bizon-2 660 mm (26.0 in) stock extended / 425 mm (16.7 in) stock folded (Bizon)690 mm (27.2 in) stock extended / 460 mm (18.1 in) stock folded (Bizon-2) According to retailers: PPS: 454mm folded and 686mm unfolded (WGC) LCT: 490mm folded and 740mm unfolded (WGC) Echo1: 510mm / 740mm (Folded / Total) (Evike) S&T/Cyma: 485mm / 740mm (Folded / Total) (Evike) JG: 740mm, 500mm (stock folded) (Tiger111HK) Literally every single PP-19 is made slightly differently. Technically speaking, the PPS is the closest to the RS Bizon-2, and the rest of them are all too big. I know this doesn't account for the PP-19-3, but I imagine both PPSs take the same mags and no other manufacturer makes the Bizon-3 making it harder to compare.
