Jin15
Looks like CYMA has decided to once again release a few new AK models, this time to compete with Kalash and Unicorn's new models no doubt. One is an AKS-74 and the other is a AK-105, both with folding skeleton stocks. Who knows when they'll be released, but my guess is it won't be too long. See http://airsoft-news.eu/news.php for more info.
FW200
Theres no such thing as an AKMS-74, It's an Aks-74..
Jin15
Eep! Sorry for the confusion, Gun Gallery had me a little confused there for a minute. Original post has been edited to reflect the proper kalashnikov nomenclature.
Fin
Dam it i was hoping for a RPK, and isnt the cyma AKS74 already available at gunner? http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/produ...products_id=847 Its been there a while
Dock trinE
Yeah, what's the difference between this one and the other metal AKS-74 they released? Or is it the same one?
neoptolemus
Weird that they're releasing an AK-105 first. I thought D-Boys would have already. Still, good news I guess.
Revenge Seeker
This is old news guys. I knew someone was going to post this but thought it'd be some noob (no offense jin ). http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...howtopic=133556 There is no "Cm031S", it says so on the pic that its a "cm031c". Although the 105 with a skeleton is new.
DarkLite
That AK105 with the folding stock is oddly sexy.
fryxharry
It would be even more so if they put the right stock on it
Revenge Seeker
Why? Is there something wrong with a skeleton-stocked AK105?
clone_ranger
Why? Is there something wrong with a skeleton-stocked AK105? Superb photos there. I find this thread a bit confusing though, so can you guys help clear the whole nomilature thing out please... As far as I was aware, the designations 'SLR105', etc, refers to those Kalashnikovs manufactured by the Arsenal company (correct?). CYAM's new 'compact' (CM035D) - show in the photos above - is produced by Arsenal, but they are also appearing in photos in service with the Russian Army... SO... Are the Russian's producing their own version of the 'compact' now, or are they using Arsenal models in 5.45mm? If so - does anyone know the correct RUSSIAN designation for these models? (LOL - sorry - I hope you understand what I'm getting at!)
FW200
That's a Saiga really...
Revenge Seeker
The correct designation for the rifle above is AK105. Any Slr-105 Arsenal thing is a Las Vegas reproduction. Arsenal is sort of like the American manufacturer whereas Russian AKs are produced by Izhmash and are the "originals" in a sense. There's just slight variations here and there. Well, that's my understanding of it. Anyone feel free to argue. ------------ FW200 probably knows more about AKs than I do so I take his word that its a Saiga. But I'm not too familiar with Saigas, aren't they the shotgun AKs?
FW200
Saiga's are civilian Ak's, they come in a variety of calibres etc. In Europe those rifles with skeleton stocks and Ak-105 style are sold here as saiga's, they're nonimportable in the USA..
fryxharry
Anyway, all the rifles of the AK-100 family come with full folding stock. Everything else is either not an AK-10x rifle, foreign production or custom work.
X Lupin
Oh gawd AK-105's are so hot.
neoptolemus
AK-105 is made with a skeleton stock as well It's not a Saiga! This is a 7,62 compact rifle made in Russia, not an Arsenal gun nor a shotgun!
FW200
The one on those pics is a saiga.
Revenge Seeker
How can you tell? Aren't they wearing Russian gear/uniform.
Skarclaw
I think its a set of promo photos.
FW200
Receiver is dimpleless for example.. Anyway to get back to these Cyma's, they look quite good.. my old CM.031 is still my most reliable AEG, while it was my cheapest... They're quite good internally, externally the Dboys is quite a bit better..
Hoppum
How can you tell? Aren't they wearing Russian gear/uniform. So do airsofters, doesn't mean we're actually soldiers.
BigAl
Thats the beuty of AK what ever you chop and change chances someone somewhere has alredy done it before in RS. Saiga is the export trade name for all Izshmas products, not just the shotguns.
neoptolemus
Well no, because the AK-101 uses NATO rounds but isn't called a Saiga.
oldman1980
Either way on topic with the thread these rifles look pretty nice and I have to say that CYMA has come a long way since they first came out.
