SR25 and carbine version at Gunner's

Finally! A&K are getting the boost they so desperately needed with a rifle Id put at least in the Top-10 of wanted by players replicas.

Three brands have been making the sniper version for some time now: G&P (excellent), G&G (I dont want to talk about it) and CA (no idea). Prices? Ridiculous, IMHO.

The A&K version has a very decent 160$ price tag, if you consider its full metal and maybe (the description doesnt mention this) CNCed. Rails are marked, BTW.

Gunner hasnt stated the power yet, but I hope its already tuned to 400 fps, wich should satisfy most players.

The sniper/marksman version, does come with the long KA QD silencer and the carbine version (URX RAS) has a crane stock (I bet an VLTOR or CTR would look so much better).

There are two downsides though:

- it doesnt use the regular V2 gearboxwith xtra-length nozzle, but a long gearbox, wich uses a PSG-1 cylinder. I hope Element (or A&K) start bringing out internals for this.

- no markings on the receiver. I know we havent had markings on most ARs, but I can fell this will be more noticable on the larger 7.62 magwell.

And in these picture threads, youll be able to see what many people have done with their AR10s (7.62 and midlength M4 type handguards FTW):

Hey friends,

I just tested one, chrono`ed it and disassembled it.

FPS is between 430-450.

Chas, the long gearbox is not a downside I think.......It can provide "enough" air volume if you want a longer inner barrel for better power/accuracy.

The gearbox has 6mm steel bushings installed, but seems not shimmed very well......quite noisy I think.

so better re-shim it when you have 1 in your hand.

they are in-stock already, but I want to make sure where I can sell and where I can`t, a few days later I will have an answer.

Just some food for thought, the CA version of the SR25 URX while not externally finished as well as the G&P are still EXCELLENT performing rifles.

I know the CA SR-25 URX is good, but I don't know about the G&P SR-25 URX-the stock one I handled didn't shoot right, very low FPS-unless it was a lemon from the factory?

owning a SR25 has been a desire for some time now but not really willing to fork out the £300+ for a rifle that i wouldn't use that often. That saying, i'd rather have the nicer looking and finished CA version than the G&G one. I hope the A&K copied CA.

BigAl,

The stock will be fine I think, but it will be difficult to put a JG 416 front end on it, because the top rail on the 416 front is MUCH higher than the top rail on normal M4 / sr25 receiver.......remember JG added a "riser" at the top rail of m4 receiver to make it flat the front end of 416?? so I think it will be a diffcult project.

Ghostx3,

There is absoultly no worrble on any of A&K guns.......solid as rock!! A bit better than Dboys I think!!

I removed the listing now because seems I caused trouble for dealers and manufacturer.......so I will make it clear where I can sell and post it again.......sorry again everyone those 5 guns will be back online shortly!!

Yes I mentioned that in my post, but will the frontend fit onto the receiver. If so it can be done, the receiver will need machining flat and a new higher length of rail attaching. As you say not easy but do able.

im hoping to pick one of these up for a backup incase my car15 breaks down. nto going to do much to it, apart from put a carbine length front on it, and possibly a battery stock of some sort, unless i can find a front end that holds a decent battery. as others said, i've been wanting to mod an SR25 fo some time, putting a folding stock and stubby front end on it, but i aint doing it to something that cost a ton.

Ghost,

Looks like its flat, I can`t detect any error.....

Big AL,

seems it will fit, because I noticed the diameter of the thread on the SR25 body is slight smaller......dboys front end can be smoothly screwed on, so I assume JG does also......maybe I will try tomorrow and let you know .

I'm sure if A&K just sold the bodies and gearboxes they would be able to shift quite a few.

How about having a word with them Fung, and see if they will supply the bodys and gearboxes seperatley.

that would be nice, but for what it costs for the extra front and back end of a clone, its not much saving i doubt. plus the fact i plan to get the full length one, sell the stock and front end, then buy a stock and short front end. i wont be out of pocket i doubt.

the only benefit of buying just the GB and body is to get round the import rules, and also to save you the hassle of swapping parts if thats your plan.

EDIT: For schtoopid. I opened in tabs and saw Gunner Airsoft, so assumed they worked :P

I too am very interested in these, and have been pestering Land Warrior Airsoft about getting them in ( if they turn out to be any good)
