Catman
Just spotted this on WGC: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...-OT-TGJB_srch_1 - Gas-Powered Airsoft Hand Grenade for generating POP sound and ejecting BB shower in wide angle - 72 BBs Capacity - Robust Structure with Rubber Body - Metal Case with Sticker for Display - Light Weight without Metal Display Case, only 174g to lowering possibility causing injury Well this snuck in from nowhere. No idea if this is an improved model but if it is I hope they got the timing under better control. Looks ok for $62, might take a gamble
DarkLite
An offensive grenade? How rude!
renegadecow
It looks the part, but 62 bucks is still 62 bucks. I'll want to see vids on youtube first.
Magsz
Wow...talk about under the radar...
gunnermaniac
wow, great find, might have to get me one of those!
ardrummer292
I wonder how it fares against its only real competition, the AI Tornado...
Catman
There's a few videos of it youtube but I think that maybe a previous/prototype model. The AI Tornado appears to be far superior - if this Maple Leaf grenade is anything like the Deep Fire ones then I'll be a little worried.
my_plague_666
so, is this just a 360 degree moscart?
[BS]_MARS
The only advantage I can see this has over the tornado is price and apperance. Who knows, maybe it will work great.
Rob15
NOTE: - DO NOT Store with Gas Charged No chance of storing it in my grenade pouches with gas in then Looks quite nice, half tempted to get one just to see how good they are.
tom lawson
The only advantage I can see this has over the tornado is price and apperance. Who knows, maybe it will work great. Whats the expected RRP of the AI Tornado then?
Azulsky
gentlemen we have been genuinely snuck by VFC. I want to see a video since they claim wide angle. I recall hearing the number 85 thrown around for the AA Tornado

I recall hearing the number 85 thrown around for the AA Tornado Just watched the 3 videos i could find on youtube, looks like a good spread (well it would be..) and it seems to give a nice 'pop' when it goes off, the only thing thats really putting me off is the long delay on the fuse
Azulsky
Link to videos?
sharingan
oh great find..
renegadecow
This is the third part and claimed to be the actual release product. The first and second vids I do remember seeing a few months ago. What I don't like is they didn't test the grenade lying down, which is how it would end up if thrown. edit: part 2 apparently has lying down and thrown tests. though these were of the prototype. DEVGRU14
i will prolly pick it up too and the tornado
WildCard
Well in my opinion the fuse is way way way to long, this way the people in the room that you throw the grenade in has a long time to: -Look at the grenade -Laugh at the fact that it didn't blow -Sloooowly walk out of the room And THEN it blows... Utty
Well you can just time it in your hand for what, 7-8 seconds before throwing it? Adds to the excitement too.
rik
thats too long being in idle, prime time for the enemy to kill you
renegadecow
From the replies of the OP in the youtube vids, the timer can be adjusted from 1 sec to however long it took those grenades to blow, which is waaay too long.
Kai_Wolf
Yeahhh....those on the vids were way too long. Went to go heat up breakfast and came back and it still hadnt gone off...
arivee
heh - the fact that he can kick the grenade around so it comes into camera view (on second video) - hilarious!
DarkLite
You can just imagine the silly games of hot-potato that people will be playing with a fuze that long.
monkey530
Tornado is probably going to win out due to the way it releases the BB's and stuff. I wonder how well this one will work in woodland environment since the tornado kind of is handicapped in that environment. I will probably invest in one of each. They announced the grenade in Aug. I think they were just looking for a manufacturer.
