Crimson
Another AEG model from KSC (complete with their "hybrid" spring-electric gearbox): H&K HK53A2 SFPD. This is replica of assault rifle, used by San Francisco SWAT team and bears seven pointed star and markings of the SFPD. Otherwise, it is pretty standard product with fixed stock. Price 39.900 Yen (235.82 EUR), ETA 7/28. Source: Airsoft News EU http://airsoft-news.eu/news.php

NegativeCambre
San Jose PD's "MERGE" team (their own SWAT team) used these for a number of years, but then switched to armalites, like every other department in California. Fun fact: Santa Cruz Sheriff Deputies carry MP5's in their car Hollister PD carries Mini-14's. Pity da fool.
AGuy
PLastic body i assume...

RedScare
oh, thats a pity. i could always buy a CA and pretend it says SFPD on it =s
AliceHKfan
iirc its partcially because the KSC gearbox is designed to work like a springer as well as an AEG
RedScare
that was the one reason i wanted to pick one up =s
AliceHKfan
yeah I wanted the Hk33A2 Set, but as you know, my usual finances don't allow me to do anything remotely airsoft XD
Crazy_Harry
main issue is the KSC aegs don't use many standard parts, so if something fails, or if you need to up/downgrade anything, you're sort of stuck. given CA have finally (FINALLY! what took you so blummin' long?! seriously...) started to develop the CA 33/53 range, I can't see much use for the KSC range, meself... the cleaner
not too long ago. . I remember watching the news hearing that the SFPD had about 10 MP5s stolen from the trunk of a squad car. . . the funniest part was the SFPD spokesperson said "we would like them returned. . no questions asked . ..and no criminal charges would be placed upon the person(s) who took them." Pzh2000
Well thanks KSC for actually realizing that the cocking tube assembly is longer on an HK53 than on an MP5. That is pretty sad that Classic Army missed that, and it has completely squashed my desire for a CA53.
IronOverlord
Well thanks KSC for actually realizing that the cocking tube assembly is longer on an HK53 than on an MP5. That is pretty sad that Classic Army missed that, and it has completely squashed my desire for a CA53. The cocking tube is NOT the same as an MP5. I have the CA 53A2, and it is a different length tube than an MP5, and has the correct charging handle.
