Panoptes
552 $60. Job's a good 'un. Front shape corrected and (in my opinion) better quality 'Eotech' logo. Shame about the 'FORLAW' but you can't have everything.
Col-Psycho
$60 from where? got any more info?

Gaffa
Very nice, also noticed they had one without the lens cover for $55. Shipping is $20.
Panoptes
On the aiming reticle; there's still a very slight ghost on these but you're not supposed to look at the reticle when aiming with an Eo anyway... But for the price, you very quickly get over it. http://www.dragonredairsoft.com/ http://www.dragonredairsoft.com/airsoft/vi...productID=22798 http://www.dragonredairsoft.com/airsoft/vi...productID=23133
tom lawson
Out of interest, where are you supposed to look on them?
Badly Browned
With most red dots, you are supposed to focus on your target and not on your reticule. The dot/whatever will be superimposed on whatever your aiming at. On the real EOTech, the reticule comes out blurry if you focus on it, and I guess on the EOFakes you get ghosting. Panoptes
Out of interest, where are you supposed to look on them? At the target! The reticle is used (in CQB at least) to 'paint' the target as you look around (with both eyes open). It's designed so that you can quickly acquire and fire without the need to go through the usual (long-winded) aiming process.
Skarclaw
Are these able to be zeroed correctly? Cheers.
Panoptes
Are these able to be zeroed correctly? Cheers. I've not tried this one yet but on the older version the zeroing was a cinch!
Isamu
Can you see the reticle in bright days?
Panoptes
Reticle brightness has alledgedly been increased on this one and I could see it fine on the older one.
Kiki-Jiki
My question is does it wash out in the sunlight? I remember my friend had a G&P EOTech clone and in a little sunlight the crosshair would be almost completely washed out. Oh, and how reflective is it? Last weekend I was taking a look through a friend's EOFake (don't know what brand) and because it was a sunny day I couldn't see through it. Like literally, all I could see was my own head in the reflection... I'd be interested in getting a clone if it weren't for these pretty major issues.

Stealthbomber
Reticle brightness has alledgedly been increased on this one and I could see it fine on the older one. Heh, I've always found the biggest problem with Eotechs (real and fake) is that in shady areas it's often impossible to see the target because the reticle is too "in your face". The design of the Eotech gives the user superb peripheral vision but I'd rather have one with a simple dot reticle. I assume they DO make one like that but I'm no expert. DWells55
Ha, the warning sticker says "CAUTON." Anyone know what a spare hood with proper trademarks (real steel or airsoft, as long as it fits) would cost?

Vercingetorix
Lies, the trades on the battery cover are wrong, the newer ones (like past few years) say L3 next to the EOTECH.
SirSavage
Ha, the warning sticker says "CAUTON." Anyone know what a spare hood with proper trademarks (real steel or airsoft, as long as it fits) would cost? http://www.skdtac.com/EOTech_Sight_Replace...d_p/eot.102.htm This is the only place I've seen them for sale, but hats because I've never looked for them. $5 flat rate shipping is something to smile about too. DWells55
For that price, I might as well just buy another cheaper clone EOTech and swap the hoods.
Panoptes
Lies, the trades on the battery cover are wrong, the newer ones (like past few years) say L3 next to the EOTECH. I never said they were accurate.
DWells55
If anyone else is obsessive compulsive, I can't fix the FORLAW, but I have remade the sticker in Photoshop to have the word Caution spelled properly. I couldn't find a decent image source for the original sticker and instead had to lens correct the angle of an EOTech with the sticker attached. So, the fonts are off (also due to this machine having zero font selection, no idea why I didn't use my MacBook) but should look just fine when the whole thing is printed actual size. Also, EOTech decided to use a non-standard symbol for laser radiation, so I had to remake that which sucked as I totally suck at vector art. If anyone can do a better job, I can give you my PSD with all the separate layers and such for you to work with. Original: Remake: EDIT: I just printed one out in high quality and an inch wide. Trust me when I say it's not even worth redoing the fonts, it looks fantastic once printed. I know it looks bad full size, but anything of this nature suffers from that when it's crisp and high res.
