freq88
The next confirmed Marui AEP will be the 1911A1 Colt Government Series. From the singular page on Marui's website it does look nice. But really dissapointing as I was hoping for a TM 1911A1 GBB. Official Announcement Page (Thread title edited for clarity.)
Lance Jackass
Oh ffs. Why make it as an aep? KSC GBB it is then...
davedawg123
Ack. That resolved my TM vs KSC GBB problem.
Carrion
why make a GBB when they are obviously attempting to ranmp up the avaliaboilty of AEPS whilst they are the sole manufacturer? seriously HOW MANY GBB 1911s are there by different makers? its a saturated market which serves TM no favrours by entering. teh aep for them is a new market segment which they have all the advantages in. also the advantages of aeps will entice newer players to pistols above GBBs which lats face it can bea hog to maintain (looks at WA in general) yes i personaly prefer GBB but most players i know who have them are dropping gbbs totaly to use aeps. umbra
So how do you know its an AEP?
davedawg123
Not necessarily so long as TM can make a decent and affordable 1911 GBB. These "other" 1911 GBB's you speak of wouldn't happen to be $200+ WA 1911's, would they? I think the price is the main reason many, like myself, are awaiting the KSC 1911. The Saint
So how do you know its an AEP? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> On one hand, the mere apparance of the word "automatic" means nothing. On the other hand, if that's an actual shot of the production frame... The slide rail/guide on the lower receiver appears to be missing... I think it is an AEP.... I think I need to get one. sadigh
Can anyone here read japanese? Does this say this is an AEP or a GBB? I bet FarEast knows...
skyler8158
...yeah unless someone translates that and it specifically says that it's an AEP, my money is on it being the long awaited GBB.

I think I need to get one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Automatic probably refers to the fact that the real one is an automatic pistol (as in not a revolver) same as where it says that it is a .45. That doesn't really look like a photo to me either... Still, could be an AEP, my money's on GBB though. So far I've only heard talk of a GBB version. I'm not against AEPs, but an AEP 1911 would be kinda wrong .
sadigh
ffs, thats enough speculation. I've PM'd FarEast, so answers are on the way
snowman
Noda-Ya say it's a GBB. The number of Tokyo マルイ gas blow back cancer/gun sale day undecided cartridges: 26 departure The present マルイガスブローバックガン one taste class in regard to one ranking which is different. The surface is not paint, the small grain is blown at high speed, " the sand blast it finishes " and in マルイ former ease of use, real it is one item of the prejudice to which expression is installed e.g., also the parting line of the part where it is conspicuous goes out, is not something which also the hallmark blew with the die and from after is struck with the hallmark machine. Price 17 and 640 Yen (including tax) Cheers.
TonyT61
Well if it is an AEP, why would they surprise us with this before the already announced M92f and Sig (i forget the model) AEP's? It could very well be a gas blowback, but then again I can't be sure that it's not an AEP.
Slade xTekno
If it is a GBB, let's hope it's a "HARDKICK."
snowman
Are my posts invisible to Americans? Cheers.
jazzman
Are my posts invisible to Americans? Cheers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not invisible... just unreadable... I cant make heads or tails of the japanese OR what you wrote above. Any chance you could translate to dummy english for the rest of us? Thanks much.
Agent47
http://www.drustvo-dti.si/tacos/news.php its a GBB...TM's gonna try and see if they can corner the M1911 market against WA...cool.
jazzman
Wow stop posting stuff I cant read. Seriously. *cries*
skyler8158
IT IS A GAS BLOW BACK. Clear enough yet?
snowman
Yep, the Google translation is a bit double dutch, but "gas blow back" is pretty clear, n'est pas? (Sorry, that's "isn't it?"" ) Cheers.
jazzman
Thanks Gents. That is good news. and to be clear on that second post... it wasnt i couldnt read his post, its i couldnt read the page he linked to. I will be one of the first in line to buy one since it is GBB, though to be honest I'd get an AEP one too. To me it doesnt make sense to make an AEP pistol *unless* there is a full auto version of the gun. (which there really isnt for 1911's) Anyway good stuff, and thanks again. davedawg123
Ah well. Back to TM or KSC?
freq88
Sorry if I misinformed everyone was looking at other stuff at the same time on Marui's website. In either case GBB/AEP we all know it will sell and be of good quality.
sadigh
In either case GBB/AEP we all know it will sell and be of good quality. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For the love of god, its a gas blow back!!! Why are some people still saying 'well, if its a GBB or an AEP...'
