Is there any indication on the "new" name if it's the reinforced version because EHobby and Tiger111 still have them under $130.

From what I understand, they changed the recoil buffer and dust cover latch so they interlock and the rear trunnion is reinforced.

Marushin. It's the main o-ring on the valve (ideally 1.5x5mm but was able to make do with 2x4mm). They always go for a softer o-ring, 50-60 durometer at a guess. While it's great for preventing leaks it opens up much slower resulting in lower fps which climbs back up after a few shots as the lowered temp causes the o-ring to harden. But considering it's only a 5-shot I'd want all those to be relatively consistent. Originally it starts 260fps and climbs to 290. Now it starts at 300 and goes down to 290 from cool down.

Got my New Nambu M60. With a simple o-ring change it's surprising to see it shoot 300fps with such a short barrel. Kinda sad this one's going under the knife.

I'd have to put a reflector right behind it if I do which gives me a blind spot right between my eyes. Maybe a detachable unit using magnets? Edit: gonna paint the red spots in for now. Either way, if I do make LEDs for them the red paint won't affect it.

Modified the shape and painted my TMC mask. Red light is just a laser for effect and still undecided if I paint red spots in their place or wire in LEDs.

Seen a lot of cheap junk on actual Russian AKs from grip pods to magpul stocks. "Purist" these days just means very, very salty.

You could just deepen the cut with a file. Ruins the finish but since you're gonna stick something over them anyway... Edit: or if your mount/rings allows it, you can file the screw or indexing lug down instead.

Don't worry about "purists". They all died out from aneurysms when the FSB started putting on Zenitco and EOTech.

You may want to rotate that 90 degrees CCW for authenticity, reversing the turrets keeping ejection clear.
