They've made a TA31, which is on their website and now available at redwolf. I expect other retailers will soon pick it up too. Although this isn't an actual ACOG compact, it's the closest thing to it. It's on their TA11 and TA31 models mate. Just for show I presume. There's a new TA31 available, perhaps that's what they meant? Just to clear up some of the confusion I noticed, the TA31 isn't an ACOG compact, but it's the closest thing to it in terms of replicas. On the trigicon website, it says the TA31LAW (TA31 without the optic strip on top) was designed for the LAPD

Sorry to revive a rather old thread, but I've got another question 'bout the old Vltor if anyone's got experience. My question is, can the modstock (replica or RS) fit a crane stock battery of some sort? I'm not really a fan of Crane stocks, nor PEQ boxes. So would I be able to buy one of the smaller available crane stock batteries and fit it in? The tabs on the side look quite short. I've seen some fitted which reach all the way up the stock, and some which only go around 3/4 of the way. There are only a few replica Modstocks available, and the one which has stood out most to me is

What I meant was I prefer the brown looking one on the kimber site, but it's obviously just the photo. I may pick up a WA one in the future provided I can still get hold of one and krylon it desert brown or something, for a bit of fun. I gotta agree with sledge there, the flaming's because people become annoyed when newbies (not all, obviously, or we'd have no decent new members) make no effort to search for themselves or read the rules or the sticky that was supposed to end "What am bestest gnu" threads... The only thing I can think of in defense is that how to use the search engine isn't posted enough. For example the + thing, which I happened to know from our searches, however many others don't. They only find out after they post the annoying thread and after they get a flaming... Still, it seems to be mentioned

Wouldn't it be easier to have a tick box on the search/new post features than password the whole thing?

Just an idea I had... I found on the UKAN forums that they have an appraisals thread and that this could be quite useful for those who are considering selling their kit, provided it wasn't spammed and miss-used. Like I said it's just an idea, but it wouldn't take much work I don't think if it was moderated. Anyway I know your very busy Arnie and there's a possibility that there's a good reason this hasn't been done before so forgive me if I'm missing something. I did search just incase someone's already said about it.

Yeah, I'm not aware where the settings are to stop it from doing that, I don't think it's to do with IE5, or atleast I haven't come across it before. Anyway like Jammy said, delete your temporary internet files and check again. Should hopefully do the trick

I think this has already been suggested? The thing is, people are always going to want to comment on gear and say "ooo what's that? Where did you get it from? How much was it?" ... That's just general interest which is usually popular and far from discouraged.... Anyway, you can use the gallery if you want... but I think the picture thread's a lot more fun. Wouldn't you agree? I can see where you're coming from though, sometimes there are 10x more text posts to each image...
