Basho Reviews : Eve Online

Honestly, you're better off speaking to the people in the corporation you start in than using Rookie Chat. They'll usually be very helpful, so long as you are polite and courteous, and don't spam post the same question over and over.

Doing the tutorials can also be really helpful.

I really should push in to doing level 3 missions seeing as I have access to them (and have had for a long time).

Another good tip for newer players.

There is this system...called "Jita".... we don't go there.

:P

Guys, I want to ask you two favors. My avatar name is "Matthew Goodwin", if anyone wants to add me.

First: Herr Schpam and Severn Thrawn - if you see any of those two, shoot first, rob later, don't ask questions as those dumb *fruitcage*ers can't speak civilized languages. They gatecamped my Catalyst.

Second: giev million isk plz? ;)

Damned gatecamers.... They annoy the ###### outa me, along with can flippers and ore theives <_<

Also, there was a titan in luminaire yesterday. New patch, new storylines, and a MOTHER FRUITCAGING TITAN IN HIGHSEC.

Caldari titan, in MY 1.0? It's mroe likely than you think.

Oh, Mike West: Expect a mill or so later on tonight, when I can get onto eve :P It's relatively small money for me nowadays... a mission will earn me about 2 mill, and that's without bounties =D

Hey basho, a question about SWG, do you must have a VISA or somecard like that (like American express, mastercard) to play swg? or can you buy time card.

There are multiple options. Check out the Station.sony.com

I can recomend the time cards, they are good value. It is a shame that SWG is a dead game.

Ok, I just got done with the whole tutorial and I can say, this is alot more in depth than I ever thought it would be. It's gonna take me some time just to buy a new ship, I hate the Ibis I start with.

Yeah, the rookie ships suck, but at least it's a ship and you can (almost) fit weapons to it.

In time you can have way more ships than you ever need, like me, I have no idea why I actually bought all those Battle Cruisers, though I do use the Myrm and Drake quite a bit.

I have a question...

If it's not too nosey, I was wondering how much real money you guys spend on this?

The issue I have, more and more, with these games is that they're becoming commercialised and they seem like a sneaky way to get people to pay real money for virtual possessions.

If you can do stuff in-game to earn a sufficient quantity of game-money then fair enough but if simply spending money=win then it hardly seems worthwhile. The point of a game is to escape the rat-race. Not simply encounter a virtual version of it.

I mention this because I was doing some noseying around Eve Online websites and they all seem to offer currency conversion as one of their services.

Once you get going it is pretty easy to earn reasonable ammounts of money.

The thing is you can have all the money in the game but if you do take the time to learn the skills then all you are doing is buying multiple ships for you to go out and loose.

But anyways, why does it even matter if people spend a lot of money on the game? this is an airsoft forum right? need i go any further :P
