Crimson
Captain KK sent the pics of their latest incarnation of the venerable M1911. Almost all parts are custom made, craftsmanship is suposed to be excellent, same is said about precision. Source: Airsoft News Eu http://airsoft-news.eu/news.php
junior
Nice.. they use a WA 1911 as the base.. I guess the news is that it's Full steel... And it comes with a hefty pricetag... $2564 http://www.prog4.com/db/product-show.asp?refno=AR1392
counterassasin
Nice gun, but what a pricetag! Hehe, look closely at the beaver tail, now that's reflective chrome
M4_boi
Wow, I know a good pistol can be pricey but that takes the biscuit!
Chris North
That honestly does look like it is worth its price, though I don't think I'd ever buy it, even if $10,000 fell into my lap. Why not make the loading nozzle out of steel?
M4_boi
To be fair it's probably because I have not got overly involved in pistols up to this point!
masakarijoe
wow. 2 real kimbers=1 airsoft kimber sensible -Joe
junior
Why not make the loading nozzle out of steel? I guess the plastic on rubber seal is sufficient enough...
Kai_Wolf
Yeah....doubling the price of what would be a real kimber......my wallet screams just thinking about it. Then again, the Nova kitted TM I have is about the same price of my real kimber as well... Airsoft owns your soul.
renegadecow
I take it that its a one off CNC project? Having all the parts fabricated from scratch through a machine shop would make it cost that much.
chillindrdude
PASS... for that price i'd buy a real steel custom 1911

birchm
I take it that its a one off CNC project? Having all the parts fabricated from scratch through a machine shop would make it cost that much. Doubt it, the internals look like off the shelf parts, or if they're not some of my upgraded 1911s have some one off CNCed internals from ProG4. Anyway, let's skip the whole "you can buy a real steel version or two for less than that" argument/complaint, the day you can go running around with your friends shooting real guns at each other without criminal chargers or fatalities is the day that argument becomes valid. junior
The only part I can see from the pictures that looks stock is the Loading nozzle. Every other part looks custom. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's one-off but the BBU and hop up definitely aren't stock. It's safe to assume also that the internals of the lower frame probably won't be stock, I would assume they would use steel parts as well.. If it truly is a one off kit then it may be worth it for a serious collector. But that price is hard to swallow for mostly everyone I know... If you look close, there are Kimber trademarks on the rear sight too!
birchm
Off the top of my head the slide internals are a CP custom Bo-mar BBU, CP custom loading nozzle, CP custom inner barrel guide, probably a sheriff steel chamber, after that it gets difficult to tell because of the pictures. It's also a magna and not an SCW, if anyone cares.
RacingManiac
Anyway, let's skip the whole "you can buy a real steel version or two for less than that" argument/complaint, the day you can go running around with your friends shooting real guns at each other without criminal chargers or fatalities is the day that argument becomes valid. Its unlikely though one would do that to their 2500 Airsoft pistol anyway...I can see someone taking it out and shoot something once in a while, but unlikely to skirmish with it... You might as well get a real Kimber and shoot at a range...

You might as well get a real Kimber and shoot at a range... I don't know if it's worth skirmishing or not, though there are plenty of people that skirmish their 500-1000 dollar upgraded GBBs. That being said lets keep in mind that for a few countries out there the idea of purchasing a real Kimber and taking it to a range is somewhat unrealistic. I would really like to know how they came up with their price point, as a Prime steel 1911 Kimber kit plus the internals would come to about half the price of the ProG4 Kimber. Panzergraf
Anyway, let's skip the whole "you can buy a real steel version or two for less than that" argument/complaint, the day you can go running around with your friends shooting real guns at each other without criminal chargers or fatalities is the day that argument becomes valid. How 'bout you just buy one real steel version, and spend the rest on bribes to walk free after shooting your friends with it? Seriously though, I could think of five thousand better ways to spend that much on airsoft, but still, you gotta love that chrome...
navy4251987
lol it costs 453 bucks more then the actual Kimber Super Match II Sad thing is for the price, Kimber isnt the best thing on the market... Ive out shot one with a Rock Island 1911 thats 1/2 the cost....
wwjkc
I have their Infinity kit and some of their parts, top notch stuff and price tag is not too bad their price is not too high compare to other HK site
BigAl
That chrome is probably highly polished stainless steel. Edit:Sorry about this Necro post found this while searching for something and got sucked in, forgot it was an old thread. Doh!
