right, ive finished my woodland load out, which consists of DPM trousers and DPM Jacket/t-shirt, and danish camo tac vest :) it totally rocks in woodland games, got soooo many pockets for mags, bags og bbs etc..

but im still looking for some decent not too expensive CQB clothing. in black preferably. is there anywhere where i can get a black fully adjustable tac-vest? and trousers?

You can use the same kit you do in woodland for urban. But you generally want to ditch any pouches hanging off your sides and rear so you don't get snagged through doorways. Face protection is a good idea , body armor is up to you. My LBV does a good job of blunting BB impacts expecially with kit in it, as does my hydration system.

Once again, do everything you can to minimise snagging. Door handles and kit don't mix. CQB regulars will know what I'm talking about.

I've only ever done CQB once ^_^

I've bought it from a lot of places, too, and it's NOT cheap at all, with the whole lot (including guns) coming in at over £1200...

That said, most of it came from OPTG, and the rest was from all over the damn place :P

Havoc if you are only 15 where do you get over a grand to spend on airsoft?!

well i was thinking along the lines of that yea,but my current tac vests pockets hang down at the bottem by my waist and dont come off.

is there a good site where i cany buy an adjustable tac vest?

http://www.flecktarn.co.uk is always good for budget kit.

http://www.shootnscoot.co.uk/ I do most of my skirmishing here these days, Warren does kit as well, have a look.

However, if you've got a hole in your wallet and some talent at bodging you could always modify your kit to-purpose. If the pouches are soft enough, you can fold them out of the way, and sew a velcro/fastex closure over them to keep them tucked away till you need them.

Just a few ideas.

And while most budget gear is OK, I would reccomend stay away from Viper brand kit unless you want to tear it apart to make your own stuff or spend a lot of time re-stitching seams.

i was going to get some cqb stuff, but i never got round to doing it. try this guy lewis770@hotmail.com his company is based in the phillipines and it makes whatever you want in black in your size. For £95 you can get black soldier 95 bdu's(trousers and shirt), thin swat style balaclava and a current issue body armour vest in black. and postage, it is quite expensive, but compared to some of the prices her, it isnt that bad.

I would say get an l.a. special forces vest by viper, get it on ebay or from your local shop, both about £30 (used to be £20 on ebay, but not anymore) http ://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=588&item=6538621266

or get a viper new york swat vest, pouches are modular, 4 pistold pouches, 4 rifle mag pouchs (i think) radio pouche, small backpack and others, all modular. ebay, around £40 airsoft shop £60+ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...6538648158&rd=1

a drop leg mp5 mag pouch you can get it off ebay for around £15.00 or your local airsoft shop for around £20+ or m16 mag pouch in black you can get it off ebay about £16 - £22 or about £27 in local airsoft shop (or if you don't use either varient just ignore that) mp5 = http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...7163028465&rd=1

m16 = http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...6539329497&rd=1

viper drop leg hostler in black off ebay £12 local shop £20 it takes all glocks, berettas, most colts, pos mk 23. all medium frame pistols

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...6539284755&rd=1

viper m88 swat helmetm, with three camo covers ebay £25 - £30 airsoft shop £38

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW

hope that helps

lol thanks for all the help mate, um id say around 4ft :P

no seriously, cos im 12 and i had an olive la swat vest and it fit me and i had a newyork swat vest and it was a bit loose but if you wear body armour underneath it should fit. buy some camping mat foam cut it to shape and stick it in a body armour cover and voila you have custom body armour.

im 5ft 6-7 and it all fits me so judge it on that.

It depends on the look you're going for in the end.

I've seen many people wear all black SWAT/ Police for woodland, and it does look very effective...however, you are much more exposed to the opposition.

Personally, i wear British DPM for woodland, with a black tac vest..this seems to look good, and work effectively.

Urban of any form- e.g. mainly buildings, but with the odd woodland bit, I would stick by my idea of dark blue/ black coveralls or BDUs.

I wanted a CQB setup, despite the fact that the area lacks any CQB fields and I had a tight budget to work with. Still, I shopped around and got what I could at a price that was managable. This is my set:

Replica PASGT sprayed matte black

Bolle T800 goggles

Black polypropylene balaclava

Black polypropelyne neck gaiter

Black BDU set

Blackhawk Omega Vest (Black... of course)

Black web belt

Hellstorm 1/2 finger SOLAG gloves

Alta knee and elbow pads

Altama boots of some kind

Other random pieces include an old-fashioned boom mic for the radio and a Surefire holster-thingy on my belt for my 8NX. I have pictures, but they were from a long while back with poor lighting... and my finger appears to be on the trigger... a lot. Haha.
