I recent bout of swine flu in my family made me consider one (also rations, a shotgun, and a much more solid door). I know the M50 is being rolled out (slowly it seems by the lack of resale), but I've never seen one for sale, and I gather the m-40a1/42a1 is the one mostly in use? I know there is the m-45 (which has a bigger number, so I assume it is cooler) but I haven't seen much about it. Link to post Share on other sites

No I was not planning on holing up in my room and defending myself with a shotgun. The idea did pass my mind (have you ever had swine flu? It's a *badgeress*), but not particularly seriously. That being said, it was enough to make me want a gas mask, for fun mostly, same reason I have a Phoenix IR strobe, and most of my MFRish kit. My understanding of internet humor was that the smiley at the end would have been enough to communicate "it's a joke"... Question, do you ever take things lightly? Grant: Yeah, a PVS14, not entirely sure about the mount, the one on EBB looked right to my untrained eye, but my understanding is that Ebay usually provides decently cheap real ones.
