Mike_West
http://www.airsoftnews.fr/2010/10/30/photos-dune-replique-du-zb-26-tcheque/ 'ere. My guess is it's Chinese, for three reasons: nobody wants to show it off, not even mentioning the company name, no detailed look at the guts and if you may remember, some guys from one of the Chinese companies visited a WW2 museum in UK this (or previous) summer. DarkLite
So it looks like it takes M14 mags, and I suspect a Bren wouldn't be too hard to build out of it...
SabreMK42
So it looks like it takes M14 mags, and I suspect a Bren wouldn't be too hard to build out of it... "what the *fruitcage* was that"....."its a the Bren" EPIC
hopeinen
If its build from decent materials, works ok OTB and doesnt cost my both arms and legs i want one!
harborne blue
Why on earth are they building some obscure Czech LMG when they could just be making a Bren? What a waste of time!
DarkMM
Why on earth are they building some obscure Czech LMG when they could just be making a Bren? What a waste of time! Because the ZB27 had much wider use in the World outside of the Commonwealth - and was standard in Chinese and Japanese forces. I wonder if this is the new gun Max from HP mentioned....
Chinx
Max from HP who? Anyway, couldnt it be a ZB30 too...?!
DarkMM
Max from HP who? Hexagon Productions - Maker of the PPSH, was discussing MP40 mag converters with him and he mentioned had a new gun in development before he could produce the mag converter, which will be made before stick mags
Chinx
Thanks mate! Due to our pretty limited market I haven't heard much about HP...but, well...i'm learning every day U should ask him and get an answer
Gunmane
Uh, the Bren is just a redesigned ZB-26 with improvements, like the Vickers machine gun is a Maxim redesigned. This looks to be the 7.92/8mm variant, hence the straight mags. These variants were shipped to China, so it makes sense for that version to come out, since there must be a surviving example still around there. I see this being a limited "VFC BAR" kind of run, sadly. I've always loved the design, ever since I first watched one fire long ago.
counterassasin
Can't wait until someone makes a RIS and an M4 stock adapter for this In the mean time, I know a certain other 7.62 also in use China, that would be my choice
validtumoralarm
Shame it's limited. Might have gotten me into doing all kinds of weird impressions. I gather it won't be ACM priced? like the WW2 version of the A&K SAW?
WhiteHawksan
No-ones sad its limited, that was just a guess. Could well be like the M249 or M60 and go into full scale production. I like it, bit different and Bren projects aplenty methinks
Gunmane
Yeah, I only guessed because the one other magazine based light machine gun of the time era that came to mind was the BAR. I really want this to be full scale production at a reasonable fps and price.
WhiteHawksan
all you need for a passable Bren is a new mag, stock and barrel front section and you got a MK 1. prototype that's at least passable, and I've been after a bren for far too long so worry about the minor details now
3vi1-D4n
I hope its not the Japanese AEP mech version I hope: http://www.wwiiguns.com/store/product_details.php?p=
WhiteHawksan
oh good god that's pricey
QQexDERA
KTW kit (apart from their Ithaca shotties) is always expensive, and not very skirmishable to boot. Oh yeah, and for those that are now looking through the www.wwiiguns.com website, I only have one thing to say: Don't even think about it, the guy is a well known rip-off merchant. As to the Zb 26, i'll be rather tempted to splash the cash on one....

WhiteHawksan
Limited to 300 peices? Dammit! >.< That means A) it'll be hideously expensive and impossible to get hold of.
tangloppen
Version 7 gearbox, bleeh... Now its a nogo for me.
lardassmonkey
I have to say I would be very tempted. I hope it doesn't turn out to be hideously expensive or impossible to find; or both... I hope no one has ideas of turning this into a Bren. It wouldn't be worth the effort and would ruin a perfectly good ZB, making it harder for those who actually want a ZB26.
WhiteHawksan
the Bren MK I prototype is basically a ZB-26 and I've wanted an airsoft bren for at least.. 7 years? I will have my cake and eat it (assuming said cake doesn't set me back like £700 for the gun alone)
lardassmonkey
Theres quite a few differences between the Bren and ZB26. It would fair take alot of effort and extra cost to get it close to a Bren. Given the likely price you'd be better off just buying a S&S Bren.
