ollie_ty
Like Hwagan said, short of grinding the fins off (And possibly shortening) the rocket valve, I dont think you'll see much FPS gain without a TBB (Which doesnt exist yet)
3vi1-D4n
Hmm, yeah no tightbores at present. I modded the gun to shoot head sized target at 45m, and has enough power to reach 60m but its slow (compared with most carbines here). I shortened the flute valve (shaved off the end by about 2-3mm) and increased the power to around 360fps with 0.25g (which is 390-400fps on 0.2g) at around 18*C. I heard mixed stories about the Dytac nozzles, as some have said that it increases FPS also. Anyone confirm this? Given it only has a 5" barrel, it is punching above its FPS to barrel ratio at this temp (390 fps / 5" = 78), just needs a little more power and some kick LOL. The only other SMG which can be modded with the same power and accuracy is the KWC Mini UZI (450 fps / 7" = 64) but that works on CO2. Wild_XIII
Mine has just eaten disconnector number 3. Dangerwerx, you're a master of making things, any idea on how much a custom made disconnector, made of something other than mature cheddar would cost?
ollie_ty
Do you leave the spring on the disconnector or have you taken it out?
Wild_XIII
I kept the spring on the disconnector.
sniperelite7
The disconnector recently broke on my gun as well. I heard that you could just remove the spring and the gun would function fine? Thats what some folks said on the kwa forums. Didn't work for me though and i'm in need of a replacement as well. Sadly the damn thing is impossible to find.
Wild_XIII
I know that WGC usually have Action branded disconnectors, failing that you can speak to KWA directly about a replacement.
Krydel
Seriously considering getting myself one of these. If you had to make a summary of all the things i needed to do straight off the bat what would it be? Round off bolt catch Whack a dangerwerx flute valve in it Keep an eye out for breaking disconnectors or nozzle springs?
ollie_ty
just take out the Disconnector spring and see how you get on!Nozzle springs are worth stocking up on, but if you dont mind opening the gun up, you can add a drop of superglue to the original springs, and that should keep them in place.Other than that, you should be good to go! sniperelite7
just take out the Disconnector spring and see how you get on! Nozzle springs are worth stocking up on, but if you dont mind opening the gun up, you can add a drop of superglue to the original springs, and that should keep them in place. Other than that, you should be good to go! Lol so the hammer just broke in my gun, which brings the total to two parts broken! So im waiting for KWA's proshop to stock the disconnector because...well...they are the only ones that stock the hammer, or so i'm seeing through my searches. Suggestions? Anyone? Also, ollie, removing the disconnector spring will keep the gun working when the disconnector is broken? Or removing the spring while the part is intact will keep it from breaking? ollie_ty
I believe both of those statements are true mate based on what I've read on the KWA forums. I took the spring out as soon as I read about these issues.
AG1212
Right, another problem with my MP9 (different MP9 than the one amateurstuntman kindly fixed for me): The bolt is very stiff when cocking it for the first time, takes a fair amount of force. Once the hammer is down it cocks just fine. When trying to fire the thing, the bolt doesn't cycle all the way back, and eventually stops cycling whereupon it becomes very stiff once again. Anyone have any ideas? I thought it might be the hop-up rubber, but I took that and the barrel out completely. It works a little better, but the issue still persists... Thanks. NonEx
I had that same thing on mine when I sold it. The guy later told me it was a cracked nozzle.
vilerk
Hammer axle might be snapped on one side.
ollie_ty
I agree. Take the bolt off, and carefully check the axle on the hammer.Good shout vilerk.
AG1212
Thanks lads, I had a look there but I couldn't see anything wrong with the trigger-group or nozzle. I think I'll have to take it apart fully and see what's up.
AG1212
So, where can I get a new hammer axle? Can't believe it's so cleanly snapped like that. It must be made of cheese.
AG1212
I assume I can just order direct from KWA? Does anyone know where I can get part-numbers? I don't have the manual.
ollie_ty
You should be able to get the manual & parts diagrams off the Pro Shop website buddy.

AG1212
Does anyone know where I can get a steel disconnecter?
ollie_ty
Why? The gun functions WITHOUT one.
AG1212
Really? I took out the spring and semi still works, but FA doesn't :/ I'll try removing the disconnecter itself.
ollie_ty
Mine definitely works.
