Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you have a WE SCAR as well as the TM SCAR recoil shock.

Nitro Vo recently released this copy of the TangoDown rail extension (both black and tan):

And I was wondering if it'll fit the WE SCAR. I've asked the shop assistants in Tokyo Model Company today and they said it doesn't fit. I'm wondering whether any of you guys have both guns side by side to check it out to find out whether the issue is a dimensions one or because the placement of the screws to lock in the side rails on the SCAR are different between the TM one and the WE one.

I don't think it's a copy of the TD RIS. It doesn't look much like the PWS RIS either. I'd say it's a one off custom design.

Real quick question, does the VFC have the same dimensions as the WE? I heard the WE uses the same mold. If so, I'd also really like to know about the fitment of this rail because I can't resist my self some extra RIS.

Sorry if this is off topic.

Yeah I had a closer inspection of it yesterday browsing pics from several RS blogs and the Nitro Vo. rail and it looks like some of the concept is based off the TD rail but it's not actually made by RS companies... I thought it was a copy because of the slanted front end of the RIS, ah well. :P

The Tango Down "Extended Modula Rail System" is actually a replacement for the entire bottom rail. The only points at which it is connected to the reciever are the barrel trunnion and front barrel removal screws. That means it is able to retain the SCAR's quick change capability.

The Nitro rail looks to be an extension of the side rails, meaning in order to remove the barrel you would have to take off those as well (not an easy process) - But this is only airsoft so it shouldn't be an issue!

Having problems installing the Prometheus Type A cylinder, seems about 1mm too long. Any ideas? My first time upgrading an AEG so might be doing something wrong.

Please see my recent post in the sopmod thread, Companys like posting out the version 7 cylinder which is 1mm too long ie for m14. Youll need to up end the cylinder and sand it on sand paper on a flat surface, one or 2 strokes will do usually. Its a little known fact that the two are different.

i dont like there is a color diference between the lower and upper of the gun, but tab does look better on my MC outfit.

And can somone tell me if it its hard the upgrade the gearbox of the TM, i mean the disamble and reassamble the gun and gearbox because there is a recoil shock system on it ?
