Ah yes LS and there cheap China cloning of the TM design and the KJ clones themselves.

They are pretty meh I have found to be honest with the older offerings they do. Still in silver is faster than TM got one out like that, heres hoping TM do thier own :P.

Not really:

They have been around for a while, one of the models that had the old adjustable hop when you just had the TM M9 version without it.

Though it could be the new one, which would be good to see.

But surely M9 is US Military Nomenclature for it's version of the Berreta M92F. The US Military does not Issue a Chrome M9, so surely this should be an M92F Inox.

Actually the "civilian version" of the Beretta M9 is the Beretta 92FS, not M92F (think this is TM ######), where as M is for military (I guess)?

http://www.beretta.com/en/serie-92/

The military Beretta M9 (think I saw a comment though that the gun in the video is a "civilian" M9, no military markings) has some differenses compared to the 92FS, different sights, slanted dust cover, different grip angle and some other minor details.

This is sort of an M9A1 INOX but not really, as the M9A1 has some different features as well. Different texturing on the frame backstrap and front, rail, hex screws,

The closest Beretta offers to civilians is the Beretta M92A1

Markings on the slide are BS as M9A1 would be better but probably using the slide from M9s on a A1 frame.

Also, I would say this is probably based on KJW M9A1 rather than TMs.

Anyways, the model doesn't exist and is a mashup of probably all of the above :P

Just chiming in. There are no differences between the civilian and military models of the past decade. The M92FS and "M9" are the same gun. The US Army was going to call whatever they picked the M9. It was actually supposed to be a Smith and Wesson originally.

Now, "M9a1" is a civilian name, as a railed M9 is not in service with the US military as of now, other then a few here and there with special units who likely bought them personally. It is not general issue nor is it likely to be, since the US military may well switch to sidearms in calibers other then 9mm.

There are several models of the "M92". There is the M92S, M92SB, M92D, M92F, and M92FS. Im likely missing a few models as well. The M92D is a "hammerless" model intended for concealed carry.

Just for my own curiousities sake could you provide source or reference info for the above ?

I tried looking it up but I can't find confirmation on any of that.

I actually found the oposite when looking :P

Maybe my Google skills are fading though.

Well, A few years ago the US Military initiated project "MHS" or, Modular Handgun System. The program started in 2012 but was pushed to 2014. The entire purpose of the program is to find the replacement for the Beretta M92. Another Beretta is not in the running, as the entire program was initiated to overcome shortcomings in the M92 design. So unless Beretta completely changes the whole thing, Or the DOD/DOS just runs out of money, the next service pistol is not likely to be the M9a1.

There are some smaller units in the Marine Corps using the "M9a1", but again, it is not general issue, as the US military has well over 500,000 Beretta M9s floating around, (450,000 were ordered in 2009 alone).

Brigg speaks the truth.  Look at the US military weapon naming nomenclature.

The Sig P228 is an M11, Milkor MGL-140 is an M32, Benelli M4 is an M1014 e.t.c.

Just as the UK call the Benelli M4 an L128A1 e.t.c.

That was the least bit of my query as to whether or not the name M9 was used by the military or not (for whatever pistol), that, there is no question about.

Anyways, doesn't really matter. I found out what I wanted to know elsewhere.
