scorch
The Webley company still exist, still makeing air pistols for the UK market. Indeed. I'm still not sure that they would give much of a toss about, nor could enforce anything on a 100 year old design.
Mazuran
Indeed. I'm still not sure that they would give much of a toss about, nor could enforce anything on a 100 year old design. Apart from that Webley themselves are releasing it in 4.5mm calibre very soon...
scorch
Apart from that Webley themselves are releasing it in 4.5mm calibre very soon... Oh really? In which case, they might well care. I was given to believe Webley didn't muck about with gimmicky airguns that look like real guns.

GlockworkOrange
The 4.5 mm and 6mm guns are virtually the same, i'm pretty sure I've seen the air pistol labeled as Gun Heaven. If Webley are fine with the 4.5 mm version being trademarked, I don't see why this would be any different.
scorch
Just done a bit of poking about. Nothing on the Webley website, in products or new releases. Their distributor is carrying it though. Alongside the 4.5mm Dan Wesson. So yeah, I reckon it's just the WG one.
Feyd
The distributor claim the air pistol version at least is taken from the original blueprints of the MkVI and the shells are a little shorter, if I remember right a Dan Wesson shell does fit although they will jam the rotation of the chamber... So there is at least a collaboration there, most (if not all) Webley's current range of pistols & rifles are farmed out to Turkey to be made anyway. They could be OEMed through the far east for Webley or licenced by Webley for the distributor (I'm guessing the later). It would be a little odd for a distributor to carry an unlicenced replica of something one of their companies was that involved with?
scorch
It would be a little odd for a distributor to carry an unlicenced replica of something one of their companies was that involved with? That would be true, assuming the license still stands. I don't think it does as there is absolutely zero mention of the 4.5mm version on the Webley site.
Feyd
Even if the licence doesn't stand it's almost from a politeness point of view! It would surely make it awkward at the next breakfast meeting :-p ( I know, manners & business don't mix!)
Brigg
QRF, the company that originally showed the new kg9 gbb, posted pictures of the Webley, where you can see the box states "based off the original blueprints" in big letters. So if I had to venture a guess, I would say that if Webley themselves were bringing a mark vi airgun to market, this is likely it. Oh and they showed boxes marked a 6mm and also ones marked as 4.5mm. ED-SKaR
If it's from RS blue prints, will it be able to mount a bayonet?
FireKnife
If it's from RS blue prints, will it be able to mount a bayonet? About the least practical application after the Japanese added bayonet lugs and fixtures to all their WW2 LMGs . Though holding any Webley by the barrel and using the butt as a head masher seemed to work well in WW1 and WW2 for some. 'FireKnife'

FireKnife
Then buy one and some duct tape. It is a revolver not a semi-auto pistol so ghetto taping a bayonet on should work . 'FireKnife'
ED-SKaR
I might try to make the handle and mount a rubber blade to it. I highly doubt I could find a real one.
muppetdaze
Still want one even more 8)

muppetdaze
The gun that killed a President ,we need a an airsoft variant, who says airsoft doesn't lead to dangerous fantasists doing nasty things? 8) (That's a joke btw, anyone who walks up to Obama with an airsoft revolver is going to regret it rather briefly)
scorch
Bulldog? The bulldog is much smaller than the RIC.
FireKnife
I do like the Bulldog, really lives up to the name of thin legged grip and stout nose . Plus it could lead to a Downey Jr version of Holmes loadout or some thing like that. Would be fun. 'FireKnife'
scorch
I'm not overly keen on the grip on the bulldog.
Brigg
Looks like these are up for sale at BBDragon. http://www.bbdragon.com.tw/product_info.php/products_id/3983/language/en But as usual they want a crazy price for it. $214 is kind of ridiculous. They sell the Nagant for $207 though and its like $100 everywhere else so I expect the price will come down elsewhere.
FireKnife
Oh yeah, it comes with 'action like the real'. *badgeress*-in' But $214, are they getting a whiff of the CG manure? 'FireKnife'
