Griff762
Heard a rumor the SCAR H may be out next month, don't hold me to it though
Alias1983
That sounds too soon to me seeing as prepro photos are a month old. Is we that fast?
DeltaZero
They have been known to be.. it could well happen but Im dubious!
Alias1983
I hope its more reliable than most scars I've seen on the FB pages.
Habakure
Are they the scars that people have modified, and then they brake? WE products do come with a caution, that first gen tend to have problems. But this is basically the same as the scar-L and tbh though are decent ootb performers.
LordElpus
I hope its more reliable than most scars I've seen on the FB pages. In case you haven't figured it out, airsofters couldn't have possibly broken it by being hamfisted/tinkering with something without the know how. It's got to be a manufacturing fault/poor design. I've had to do emergency repairs for players on site enough to see how badly guns are maintained/repaired. Considering the increased amount of maintenance GBBRs need, it's a wonder any of them have a good review.
Alias1983
Yes and no. I know the fcg is pretty much the same from scarl to hk416(oldest to newest versions) but the upper is the biggest headache for many. Im the biggest advocate when it comes keeping them mostly stock but the scar and even my pdw shakes itself apart. That's my worry.
Habakure
Generally interested in the problem with the upper, it was always the stock, and the impact from the bolt, that people had a problem with.
Alias1983
I haven't had that issue with my pdw, yet. But my 2 screws that hold the front assembly in place one is in bad shape. Had to tighten down the guide rail screws and my stock hinge dogbone screws come loose all the time. I refuse to loctight them in case cause I don't want to have them drilled out like the *suitcase* screws on madbull rails. Its a gen 3 ob I bought in evikes bone yard 4 months ago with a broken lower where the stock latches to when folded out. I don't use any fcg or bcg parts as my ra tech npas took a major *suitcase* on me and made performance really bad.
Habakure
Oh sorry, should have said the scar. I was interested in the problems people have had with the scar upper.
Alias1983
Same issues I had with the pdw. Screws just coming undone. I always forget to re tighten 1 screw and then pay 2$ for a replacement.
Habakure
So a screw would work it's way out of your upper receiver (just to clarify)? That is interesting, as a lot of complaints has/have been about the bolt, cracking the rear plate, between the receiver and the stock (some people added cushioning to try and address the issue. Like chopped up credit cards and adding them to the cushion).
Alias1983
Yes. The pdw has a rubber pad behind the recoil rod base.
Habakure
Again, we seem to be getting wires crossed (regarding what replica we are talking about), really not interested in the pdw but I am interested in the complaints about the WE scar. So, a screw would work it's way out of the upper receiver of a WE scar?
Alias1983
No we are not your not getting it. I have the same issues that the scar guys have. Screws that hold the hop and barrels in come loose. Guide rail screws come loose. The answer is to loctight them in but the screws are *suitcase* they strip out easy
DeltaZero
Why not just replace the screws with better quality ones? Then loctite them. If you're paying $2 for a replacement screw you're getting ripped off more than most would imagine!
Alias1983
Try are specific, can't get them here.
Habakure
Yeah, the hex screws that hold the hop-up unit (on the scar) are very unusual. But again, this could be down to user error (forcing the screw back in and damaging the thread) as it is differcult to reassemble the barrel on the WE scar. Very tricky. Looking forward to a review of the Scar H and to see if there was a mechanical reason for the delay.
Alias1983
The bolt hitting it causes them to move back and forth. The threads on the screen and the hop housing get oblonged. I had to use some PTFE tape to take up slack
Habakure
On your Scar? Edit:- I've noticed, Alias1983, that you don't seem to have much luck with gbbs, judging by other comments you've left in other threads.
Alias1983
The only luck I have is I'm still alive somehow.
Number5
Any update or news on this?
bankz5152
Based on the MP5 I would hazard a guess at late Aug/Sept. I may well bump into the same chap who informed me of the (vague) MP5 dates again this weekend. on my phone, my spelling will suck
Number5
Saw the video, got very excited. Also I believe one of the WE Europe guys is over at the factory right now? Unless it was an old photo they've put on FB. Sad the guns still not the finished item in the video, colour wise, but function is looking great, magazines look really well done. I'm very excited. Any translation of the vocals?
