aznriptide859
I found some .28s so I can try an indoor test later, but I probably won't have the time to field it until much later :/. At some point I'll take it completely apart though, just to find out how the innards are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wotzat
If I may, it works better with 0.20 than 0.25.
icolater
Whats the plastic like? The usual Marui cheap *suitcase* or is it any better ?
wotzat
Usual Marui plastic.
BerserkDS
In all my m870s I've owned, they take alot of time and alot of rounds to bed in the hop up. They work best with .28 to .30 bbs. Depending on the weather, higher Temps use .30, lower temps .28. I assume the KSG hop up system should be identical.
BerserkDS
Also check your inner barrels, give them a cleaning. My last M870 (wood) was absolutely filthy straight out of the box. I needed two patches per barrel, and the performance difference and fps gains was ridiculous. It was almost like a BlaCK sludge/grease coating the barrels. BerserkDS
Just got mine today, I've noticed that the inner barrels are Angeled. They aren't stacked in the traditional tri shot angle. I wonder why...maybe it's the stupid feeding system, how the shell is on the side
renegadecow
It's angled because the whole system is angled to make room for the extra magazine tube.
BerserkDS
Reloading tip...point the gun downward, drop a shell in, make sure it's on the correct side, and press the shell release and the shell will actually drop in, and give it a final push to lock in. Works much better than having to find the correct angle and push in
aznriptide859
Berserk, do you find it harder to shove the shells into the holding chamber on the left than it is to put it into the feed chamber on the right?
mrsevenstars
Mine came in with a problem. Has anyone had their gun come in and you can pump the gun but the trigger wont engage unless you push the trigger bar up in the ejection port? Anyone have any ideas?
aznriptide859
I'm guessing you're missing some kind of spring in there maybe? Haven't had that problem at all.
BerserkDS
Haven't actually tried putting any shells on the left side yet, ill check asap. Fielded the gun today, hop was pretty weak with .25g. Hopefully just need some breaking in, all my m870s took some breaking in before they started shooting better. Also, clean your barrels. Believeve it or not but Marui gas shotguns come filthy from the factory. Took me 6 patches to clean them.
Vasriotaep
Hello all, I saved the post I will read all your posts later. After playing with it during one day, I saw lot of missfeed, despite using differents brand and bbs weight.
Manxmadman
Just received mine. The storage side does indeed take two shells, but I wouldn't waste your time putting them in there. Or at least on mine I had to get a thin flat head and flick the edge of the shell with the latch lifted to get them to come out. The active shell popped out easily enough when tilting the rifle vertically to give the shell a bit more momentum. I did notice the two pins that hold the trigger pack in are quite easy to knock (they haven't fallen out but after just some messing around I had to push them back into place). I'm fairly happy so far, mainly because of the hefty racking sound. Going to give the barrels a good clean and run it for a game or two this weekend and see how it performs. Vasriotaep
Hello everybody, The review of the KSG is now online. As usual, I made shooting test, accuracy, range, gas autonomy, consumption etc... The review is not subtitled yet, but I will work on it. A big thank you to my partner Univairsoft (www.univairsoft.com) for giving me the possibility to perform a full review of the gun! bankz5152
I picked up a brand new KSG very cheap so very happy. Pretty awesome bit of kit, I quite like it! Well balanced, comfortable, its good! I shall have a proper go on the weekend On my phone, my spelling will suck
bankz5152
Having a play last night, definitely impressed so far. Though the 2 shell storage is such a waste of space and annoying. It makes for potential failed reloads as I couple of times the shell fell into the left lot instead of the right. While I like TMs attention to detail they should have either made both sides feed, or just had a single central chamber imo. I'm thinking I will knock up some kind of guide, possibly out of an old shell which would guide shells into the correct chamber for speedier reloads. Also what shells feed happily in this? From what I remember the TM shells are crazy money, though the Nuprol ones are around £16 for 4 or Cyma £15 for 6.
mightyjebus
my CYMA ones work fine in mine

aznriptide859
So I got my KSG apart today to install the SAT upgraded output valve. Entire gas assembly in the gun is one piece, and was pretty easy to swap. I didn't manage to test fire with BB's, but something I reinstalled was bad since I got a constant leak :/, so I'll have to open it up again and see what's causing it. The gun isn't too hard to take apart, but there are a metric ton of screws. Also, inner barrel length is closer to 260-280mm, but can be extended almost all the way to 360mm. renegadecow
Constant leak out the front and using green gas? Sounds like the same problem as the 870 since the gas mechanism is the same.
aznriptide859
Not sure if it's out the front or side, I'd have to check.
mrsevenstars
Aznriptide859- were you able to get the SAT valve leak issue solved on your ksg?
