Tommygunn
Why did you cut the corners off your Velcro?
raabhimself
Exactly what i was wondering.
asniperkill
Why not? Personal preference FTW! I think it looks better. But hey what do I know?
Tommygunn
It might sound a bit daft, and not to take anything away from a fine looking helmet, but I think it makes it look fussy in a way.
chillindrdude
rounding the corners helps prevent something snagging the corners and ripping the velcro loop patches off. Â highly recommend the pads and straps. they're aftermarket not USGI issue. the pads remain soft regardless of temperature (hot or cold) and has an open structure under the sweat wicking fabric to promote air circulation. Â the straps makes your helmet rock solid, feels like its part of your skull. very little play without feeling tight. its perfect for stabilizing the front heavy NVG. the strap routing also give more space for headsets under the helmet. when i get some more money, i'm gonna do the same for my MICH. Tommygunn
Mrk, Nice helmet. Where did you source your nvg parts? Â Olaman, The strobe is primarily a distress marker. It has the function of showing your position or a position. It has both a visible(white light), blue light(to distinguish from gunfire) and Infrared capability. This should help: The hook on the strobe is glued, while the loop parts are one length folded over on itself and again glued. This then allows the main hook section to attach to the strobe and the helmet. Edited September 27, 2007 by Tommygunn

Tommygunn
Cheers mate. Â Asniperkill, Bit silly to spray the helmet while the strobe is in situ as you've got paint all over the IR hood? Helmets got nice character though. Edmiles
Is there anywhere I can get the NVG mount for a MICH in the UK fairly cheap? I've only found it on wolfarmouries which is daylight robbery. Edited September 27, 2007 by Edmiles
