the font enthusiast in me says "what are you talking about there is no comic sans."

at any rate, this was ridiculous when it was first announced and still is. Apparently Geissele/ALG made this at the request of some "operator" whos affiliation could not be disclosed due to "security reasons"

I think I've seen a photo of this thing in actual service. It's supposed to be used in tight spaces with multiple hostiles with hostages, like an airliner interior. Hence the name: 6 seconds from entry to ending threats (or something like that)

EDIT:  This is the source: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?121596-2013-SHOT-Show-Threads&p=1525410#post1525410

You know what else can be deployed in 6 seconds? Just about any other handgun out there. Less if you get Bob Munden with a single action. They would have sounded more credible if they just marketed it towards open class IDPA/IPSC instead of going all out "developed for a Tier 1 operative".

That's exactly the sort of thing the military would buy.

"You want to make cuts for optics mounts in to our guns?!?  I'll hear none of it, you can bolt on a mount that makes no permanent changes to the weapon so it can be returned to the factory state with ease... and count yourself lucky we're allowing you that"

Gives airsofters a comparatively cheap, quick and simple way to mount a small red dot on their pistols.  Don't see how that's a bad thing.  Shame the light ends up 5 miles away from the trigger guard, apart from those with very large hands/digits that'll make a very noticeable difference in terms of ease and speed of actually lighting stuff up; really gonna mess with your grip too.

Well to be fair it's also a lot cheaper then getting a slide modified or buying new slides, and the aimpoint will also live longer on the frame then on the slide getting beaten to hell.

It's a sound way to mount a T1 if you need a T1 on you pistol, and some people do.

The light moves down 5-6mm not perfect but workable i think, with offhand working the light and main hand working the trigger.

I do have tiny girl hands I wouldn't deny it.  But when I'm trying to get the 'ideal' grip on a pistol I find even a light on the normal rail can be pretty disruptive of that, let alone where it'd be on that mount.

99% won't care because it's airsoft and there's no recoil to control which is absolutely fine, but it does bother me personally.

Nobody gets a perfect grip on a pistol when using the light, moving a finger around is the opposite of a firm grip.

Thanks for the info... I wasn't aware...

As I said, the normal positioning of the light is disruptive to the grip, with this mount that will be exacerbated for many people, including me.  I'm not a big fan of that.  That ok?

WANT!

But something seems weird, "another" store in HK, Reload Gears ( I think it's actually = ebairsoft ) posted on their FB page saying actual product will not be sold in their retail store ( now they call themselves TMC gear, yes the nylon tactical gear brand ) , HK buyers have to order from their webstore and both colors are out of stock when I tried to order mine ( yay it's like US$41 locally, that price for aluminum mount AND magwell, what can i ask for more? )

Don't think so... the mount uses the rail AND trigger pin to attach on the host gun, not sure if it will work with just the rail but I would say the weight along with the T1 might cause some stress, forming an awkward leverage bending the rail part of the frame.

Apart from that, the magwell won't fit...
