NonEx
Waste of time and energy IMO. Give us something new!
Marc.RG1
Waste of time and energy IMO. Give us something new! I totally agree, pointless to be honest, these double barrel guns only have one thing going for them and thats the strength of the recoil, but recoil is not everything.. LordElpus
Waste of time and energy IMO. Give us something new! So they are releasing something that nobody else is doing and you are complaining they are not releasing something nobody else is doing? Not my cup of tea, but more power to them for at least being bonkers.
NonEx
I always support WE in new releases and variants but these glued together pistols are just rubbish, plain and simple.
deek
Dire. I don't think I know anyone who's bought one.
hitmanNo2
People must be buying them I suppose. A tenner says more people would buy a BHP Mk3 or a DE or a P85/90 or a P99 (whatever happened to that?) or a PPK e.t.c. though.
paranoiddroid
They could be useful as an r&d platform looking at failure points and stuff like that but other than that I can't see a use I did like the idea of a 2011 but the we guns look more like two guns welded together than one larger slide. Anyway double 92s mean one in each hand with a classic film director guiding it surely and dual glock 18s should be laid out like this
hitmanNo2
Doubled up 2011? You'd need hands like King Kong lol.
NonEx
Two.... words.... Double Deagle
paranoiddroid
Doubled up 2011? You'd need hands like King Kong lol.The 2011 is what the mad I talians who made the double 1911 call theirs the thing in the bond film Hun I just like the idea of one of those with the dual triggers though I'd want one with a selector switch so it either fires one shot at a time or pops off two rounds for each shot just because I think it would be awesome for IPSC where you need two rounds on each paper target. If I was going to do a double 2011 in the Airsoft 2011 style if do it the same As the flock above twin guns one left one right ejected mounted onto a frame with a shared sight system' if I was to do it with the Seabee I'd probably do it with a rifled stock that doubled up as a shoulder brace for when the recoil hit. I also want someone's to build pepper box style pistols for Airsoft because the concept is just gorgeous a revolving system of barrels with a break action a girl can dream can't she
hitmanNo2
Oh yeah. AF2011. Dumb name.
discodante
Are they putting their higher quality new pistols through this process or are they using these double guns as an excuse to shift old inventory? Their old M9s are *suitcase* and I wouldn't be surprised if they were having trouble shifting them now that they're making a version with a modern hop up.
DeltaZero
It's not just two pistols joined together.. It's specifically manufactured together.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
discodante
Right, but are they using their old screw-adjustable hop ups from their old M9 range or the new VSR ones from their new series?
DeltaZero
No idea, but if it's a new system you'd have thought they'd logically go for the new VSR type. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mimesis
Hmmm. Logical and WE in the same sentence!
blobface
Double Deagle Had to throw that into Google to see what I'd find:
Skarclaw
hard to knock em for this, there's nothing really like it on the market. It's ridiculous, I would never buy one but I like WE for this kinda stuff. "Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that."
paranoiddroid
I want to see someone fire a true double eagle would be awesome in 50ae. The things need red hot loaded ammo to run well anyway. A double barrelled handgun doesn't really make sense you'd be better off with something like the SCAMP Colt designed after testing the double rifle designs in the 70's a small calibre round (something like the .22 of the scamp or a 5.7/4.3) with the pistol set up in auto as default, a blistering fast fire rate but limited to two round bursts. Twin MP7s then?
paranoiddroid
I was more thinking as a single barrelled gun on a handgun frame with an effective rod of something like 1800rpm but 2round burst only http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/11/28/colt-scamp-yesterdays-pistol-future/
Brigg
Well.. we knew it was coming. They said it was.. but still.. *grooooooan*. At least this has to be the end of it, right? Right?
FireKnife
Perfect example of why WE annoys me sometimes. They have a chance to make a much greater option like improve the BHP, add new guns and perhaps compacts to the line (like a 92SB-C) but nope, they waste time and effort on this stupid rubbish. There is a reason there is nothing else like it on the market as no-one else was dumb enough to do it. I have seen a grand total of one of these double barrel things owned by someone and my is it dumb, even they regret buying it but they can't sell it on to anyone.... scorch
Why are they messing about with these when there are classic 7.62 GBBR platforms I want to buy?
