beta08
THOSE *fruitcage* IDIOTS! They ruin a perfectly accurate SR-15 IWS E3 bu stamping SR-16 on the upper... Typical Wow...good eye. When I looked at it, I was pretty excited and didn't pay attention to detail. But that has to be one of the stupidest mistakes VFC has ever made. C'mon VFC. sc0rp10n
Guys chill out, you can see it's a 15 not a 16 because of the agressive bend at the front of the numeral in question. Or so at least it appears to me in the picture. I think I might actullay get this if I can sell my current home made SR15.
Vercingetorix
Well considering the price, you'd expect them to get those details right.... But then again, the real SR-15 IWS doesn't have any trades on the upper, so a can of krylon/duracoat/alumahyde/whathave you should fix thet.... Lets hope they didn't crew up the lower's engraving too...... That definitely looks like SR-16.... Either way, having the lettinging engraved into the upper makes it wrong. I am dissapointed VFC Well that makes me happy, now my SR-15 is more correct than the rest and is still unique ON a side note, pinned mag catch is kewl
TwinTurboCH
Guys chill out, you can see it's a 15 not a 16 because of the agressive bend at the front of the numeral in question. Or so at least it appears to me in the picture. I think I might actullay get this if I can sell my current home made SR15. It's definately a 16, look at the left hand border of the pic second from the bottom of each link. I'm not fussed either way, it looks lovely , nothing Krylon won't fix. t_hum
I think its safer to say that until a picture is taken thats not low resolution (thus allowing a good zooming) and not taken at a rediculously tight perspective its all a bit of speculation. Im not going to state its either, but I dont think VFC would overlook that. Supposing it IS a 16, maybe VFC sent a copy to WGC for pictures using the sr16 receiver because they didnt have their 15 receivers done yet. Just a thought.

t_hum
Look in the description, its says word for word...."SR16 M4 Receiver". Hadnt noticed that. Interesting. Wonder why they chose to do that. Im not a guru all things m4 variant. uscmcorps, where are you to answer this question?
assaultsniper321
From what i heard, the SR16 is not a real gun. The real steel gun is the SR15, i guess VFC just wants to avoid a lawsuit...
EmptyChambers
Its nothing special to me. What I AM interested in is how they worked up a leftie selector. I know King Arms has one, but I figured it was purely cosmetic.
Vercingetorix
erm SR-16 is most definitely a real gun... SR-15 IWS E3 isn't, but calling it an SR-16 E3, with KAC trademarks is enough to infringe on copyright I think.....
slu
The SR15 and SR16 are both real guns. 5 denotes semi-automatic, the 6 fully-automatic, so you really only see SR15s in civilian circles. Technically having a full auto lower receiver would make it an "SR-16," the the distinction is moot since KAC stamps the name on the upper, not the lower. If VFC were actually concerned regarding copyright infringement, they would not have a included such authentic replication of the markings, including that huge, fat KAC logo on the receiver. Vercingetorix: Maybe a typo? If not, I suggest you goto the KAC website at http://www.knightarmco.com/, mousing over the "Weapon Systems" tab and clicking on "NEW SR-15 E3 IWS." Vercingetorix
Whoops... Yeah, typo... I meant SR-16 E3 IWS lol Oh, and if you look at the SR-15 IWS, you'll see that there is nothing engraved on the upper, like there is with the SR-16..... On the ISW, the model is stamped on the right side of the lower(the side without the big KAC logo)
assaultsniper321
Thanks for clearing that up slu, i had no idea what the difference is and now i do... Thanks google for telling me that the SR16 is not a real gun, lol.
Drifty
I personally think it's nice. It's about time they came out with this variant
