Robinio
If I'm not wrong, but STAR/ARES is the same... so...
WhiteHawksan
Well ARES used to make the guns for STAR and star re-branded them and sold them on. However they introduced a key element which was *some* QC, so I would suspect that this is just STAR buying ARES guns and running QC through them? Anyone got the ARES manual or know if its basically the same gun internally?
L85FREAK
From What I can tell the gas mag is a little different design, uses the bb clip design from the AW338, but everything else is the same. and if the fps on the website is correct than it seems it also shoots a little harder. aznriptide859
I thought STAR died...
uscmCorps
STAR's still around. Simply that their product line is diminished now that ARES (one of their primary OEM's) is no longer affiliated with them. Though ... I wonder if that's changed. With Star releasing their own M200 (which looks a lot like ARES' M200) and the fact that STAR no longer has that notarized letter about other companies taking advantage of them (which I assumed was targeted at ARES) ... perhaps STAR and ARES and back together? sirrith
Want ACM copy darnit, too expensive for me
counterassasin
Seconded on the ACM copies. A M200 or DSR-1 would be awesome if Well cloned them, and charged a ''reasonable'' sum for them
MrM60
If someone does, I hope they don't make the bolt go back only 1.5 inches.
MadMax1818
It looks completely the same, apart from the spring mag which has the bbs spiral around in the mag like a mid cap. The gas, co2 and spring mag on the Ares all use the clip for the bbs.
bjorn
So to conclude: ACM copy with VSR internals. For under 300 USD. YES PLEASE!
MrM60
So to conclude: ACM copy with VSR internals. For under 300 USD. YES PLEASE! Have fun seeing every Modern Warfare 2 Kid running around with these if it's that cheap.
Hammerfall
Have fun seeing every Modern Warfare 2 Kid running around with these if it's that cheap. Yes, and your point being? Personally i'd like to see VSR internals in anything else remotely more interesting than a VSR
AceOfSkulls
the M200 is the best rifle in the world. Marry those awesome looks with vsr internals and i would buy one. and if "kids" can afford/annoy there parents into buying one, good for them.
Trasher
The M200 is pretty much an useless wall-hanger - see size/weight and ergonomics. Companies should spend their R&D budget on more sensible replicas... I bet this one will have the same cr*ppy internals like the Ares. VSR hopup or internals in any of these newer replicas = never happen
bjorn
VSR hopup or internals in any of these newer replicas = never happen In fact that is strange. Why would you create a whole new internals design when you have a working, well thought out and highly effective system already on the market with very good after market parts availability. So? MrM60
STAR M200 up on Ehobbyasia for $400 cheaper than the ARES. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/sniper-rifles/s...r-rifle-bk.html

VSR hopup or internals in any of these newer replicas = never happen The Socom Gear Barrett is as big as this and heavier. I own one and have skirmished it multiple times. It's not even close to hard. If you can't handle only 25lbs, you guys need to start working out. So please don't start with the '' Oh! It's too big and heavy to use!'' ######. EDIT: ?? You can't say C.rap? That's stupid.
C.Huffman
What rifles would you like to see R&D money spent on? I have the m200 and it is a wall hanger, unfortunately. Need HPA.
teflon don
we are alle verry happy that you have a m200 now stfu a m200 is like a penis, its nice to have one, good to be proud of it, but for *fruitcage* sake don't shove it down our throats
